It's looking absolutely beautiful so far! I think the lilac was the perfect choice, it showcases that floral and vine pattern much better than a green would have (I think only the flowers would've really showed, and while lovely, not being able to see them "growing" on the vines would've been a loss at the end). I really can't wait to see when you get to the sleeves though! Looking forward to the next progress video!!

Lucy this dress is going to be exquisite !! You can totally use both nude and green underwire channeling, honestly no one but us will know ;) It would be a nice way to make your sewing a little more conscious and zero-waste ! If you want to do sleeves and if the floral fabric does end up too heavy like you were afraid at the start of the video, you should do the sleeves in just the lilac as a complimentary color and i think that would be really pretty too!

The bodice looks whimsically magical! It also makes me think of like, a royal gown or something similar, but I can’t make my brain work enough to think where I’ve seen it before in another movie 🤔 Also watching you making these gowns with overlay tulle makes me want to make another dress with a lace overlay… and I’ve already made two, but a blue one with a white floral lace just sounds so wonderful! 😅

Looks great! I would make the sleeves out of the plain tulle though. I think using the lace may look too much. Though I suppose it depends what sleeves you are going for. If they are balloon princess ones, I would definitely use the plain tulle for a more delicate look (I did this for my wedding dress).

Seeing you sitting there sewing is so me in younger years. Although I did not make anything so fanciful. More practical but pretty and worn everyday until they literally fell apart. So loved my sewing a dress and wearing it. Miss those days.😟😊💟

Every time I watch one of your videos I feel more inspired to learning how to sew. My grandma also has a sewing machine that I'm going to take to a local maintenance store to try to fix it. If all goes well in the summer I should venture myself into some basic pattern

I am so impressed that you wanted to sew with tulle again! Sewing my daughter's wedding dress had the exact opposite effect on me: I pretty much never wanted to sew tulle again after that! 🤣I do love that printed tulle, though-- almost beautiful enough to tempt me.

The colours look amazing together! And the rest as well of course. I'm looking forward to the next part! Are you going to make a paneled skirt, so you don't end up with so much bulk at the waist like last time? And to save fabric in a way a circle skirt can't Using the outer fabric for sleeves also sounds like a marvelous idea. Perhaps a butterfly sleeve or a petal one could work if it doesn't work for a puffy one?

Loepsie...which lipstick are you wearing? It looks amazing on you and I have a similar pale, cool olive skintone like yours. You always pick the best lipstick colours, a problem that i have. I never seem to pick the right ones for my skin.

Honestly, the different colours of underwire channeling are not that big of a deal, if they have the same texture. Nobody will be looking at the inside of your dress. It could be just our secret
