If you widen the bodice of a pattern (to adjust the sizing to fit the waist measurement) should you also widen the yoke the same measurement, or just measure to see if the original will fit? (I’m using McCall’s 6422, which has the back bodice gathered into the yoke, so it may not need widening, is my logic. But I’m not 100% sure, haha) please let me know! Edit: I actually did a fit test with equal widening and it looks great. Thanks for the video!
Glad to hear it all worked out! The other option would be to taper the waist back into the bodice using the multi-size lines if you don't want additional width in the bodice. This pattern is very forgiving and it still looks great with additional ease. I added width at the hips then tapered back into the waist.
To eliminate the pleat, should i fold the back paper pattern piece in a pleat as you did the fabric and then cut the back fabric piece out? This will match the width of the yoke right?
