This dress is stunning! The style is incredibly flattering and the fabric is gorgeous 😍 Worth every tedious minute (hour?) you spent on the gathering, in my humble opinion.

Wow, this is one of your prettiest makes yet! I also like the way you model your makes! You aren’t jumping around and flashing the skirt around crazily, like a lot of utubers! We can really see what the dress looks like! Good job!

Hi Elaine! Thanks for watching! I try so hard to stand still when I model, so that everyone can see the drape, fit, and style. Sometimes it is hard. I put on the garments I sew and think to myself "I made something good here." And all I want to do is dance 😆

I agree! I push through the projects that ate time consuming because they are generally the most rewarding. Also, I love to challenge myself and add to my skills. 😁

I think it's a lovely finished project. Had you not pointed it out I would not have noticed the way the dress was a little large on you, because of the fullness of the skirt It works.

Hi Carol! It's barely noticeable. But I certainly can feel the difference 😆 I'm used to more tailored garments. I'm working on a loose fitting drapey top right now, and I'm trying to get used to it. It feels a little strange to me 😆

Lovely color and design on you. Maybe you can sneak in a few tiny fisheye darts? Or one in the centerback to remove some excess ease.

Your dress turned out so pretty in this print. I love the full tiers on the skirt. The way you handled the bias binding gives it a crisp finish. 😊💕

You do such a good job on your sewing and keeping your videos sewing related! So many ladies I watch ramble on and on about a lot of personal stuff. Some of that is ok, but I don’t want to know if you’re going through menopause or this is your bloated days of the month! Thanks for giving us the information we want in a personal way that doesn’t tell us too much. By the way, do you have a video showing how you pivot the pattern to raise it for dresses that wrap like this but end up too low in the cleavage area. Thank you!

🤣🤣🤣 I try to give a lot of details about the pattern. Sometimes I'll include semi-personal stuff like "yesterday was my daughter's birthday etc.." But I try not to get too personal. Unfortunately, I don't have a tutorial on that yet. But that's a good idea. Maybe I should make one!

Love the fabric. It looks lovely on you. I've been eyeing up that pattern but I'm not sure if I want to make it or not. Have you considered using elastic to gather the tiers? It is a game changer.

Lovely dress and I even like the gathered skirt. The colour is just gorgeous, as is the other colour way. Do you find cashmerette patterns have good bicep room? It’s an eternal struggle for me!

Hi Lynne! This pattern in particular is great in this regard! Lots of room. I usually have to do bicep adjustments with every pattern, but I didn't have to worry this one. I think there is one Cashmerette pattern that I did a bicep adjustment for and that was the Lennox. But that was before I realized that there is a bicep expansion on the website. I hope that bit of info helps.

Really enjoyed your review. I didn't quite understand how you adjusted the bodice front so that you didn't show cleavage. Could you explain further? I am making this dress for myself to wear to my daughters wedding and don't want to worry about over exposure. Thanks.
