Thank you. I have a big bite and I had thought about using it, but was afraid that the holes would be too large. Thank you for demonstrating that it works just fine.
Your instructions have been the easiest for me to follow, maybe it is your technique, maybe it is your voice but I have watched so many videos before and could not get it right. Thank you!
Daisy, you are absolutely an amazing artist and crafter. I will do this journal because your instructions are absolutely clear. Now I need a graph paper, a cereal box and I will get the papers, ephemera, and junk together to put in the journal. I have never thought of putting all the pages in three piles. You are a genius Do you decorate the front page? thank you so very much.
Your tutorial is great. Even though I've made a few journals, I'm really new at it. I love to watch others make their journals. I learn so much each time I watch a different tutorial. I've always stacked my folded pages outside in, but I want to try your way of inside out. It seems to create a tighter signature. You gave us so many great tips. TFS
Omg, I was so surprised when you brought out the Vegas phone book, b/c we live in the same town. Lol. This process vid is super. You are a great teacher. Btw, the jewelry tool is called a reamer, for smoothing out holes in beads, but great for piercing the holes here too. Thank you so much for all the tips.
I love this video! I have not yet made a journal but your video gave me some instructions. I will probably watch it more times before I attempt to make one. Hugs💕
The graph paper method is genius! Never seen that before. I need to get a phone book from somewhere. It'd be much easier than what I'm doing now. Loved the process of this. Thanks Hun
I like to space the holes a little further apart. You can just fold a bit further away than half for the second fold. Or use a centering ruler. These instructions are so plain, and make this project seem easy and do-able!
Thanks for showing us an easier way to do this, I can never get my holes centered. And a great Idea to put eyelets in the spine. Thanks so much for sharing this with us, Hope from TN,USA
I love this tutorial! Easy and thorough and I wanted to scream about the twine, I thought that you always have to use waxed thread! Thank you soo much 💖🤗💖
Thank you for sharing, Daisy. Many times I sit with a stack of papers and ephemera totally stumped as to what order to put the pages in. Never thought of breaking it down to separate stacks and just rotating the pages as I add them. The stitching with the eyelets looks very "neat". ❤❤❤
Great tutorial! That is the fastest and easiest hole set-up process for signatures. Tfs! I love how you refer to the process in food terms😂 I'm going to go eat lunch now. And then make a lasagna journal after❣Kitty's so cute😻
I don't know why it still make sense to think of folding paper like they taught me in third grade. LOL! I still like hotdogs and hamburgers! :P Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this tutorial (and your other journalling tutorials). I LOL'd at your phone book comment ... put it away for whenever you never need it. BAHAHA!
Enjoyed watching your tutorial! I did leave you a question in the comment section of your "Junk Journal Cover Tutorial" asking: Do you teach any tutorial on how to sew several signatures into a journal? Thanks so much for sharing Daisy.
Love the idea of using the big bite! and eyelets for the spine holes! This is the first JJ video I have seen where someone shows us how to make the sginature paper wise...THANK YOU! when you print out your sheets, what paper do you print on? it looks like vellum? You can also use a Tool that you can but at like Harbor Freight for 2.00 and they are called "Awls". Sandy
My 1st time I tried a 3 hole/signatures across/9 holes. I tried to have the threads showing only once, but couldn't. I had to tie off after each signature for it to look right on outside. I tried 1st hole, middle hole, last hole, it would not let me not repeat or cross holes outside. So I guess all my books will have single signatures. Thanks
Chancey464 Don’t put in the eyelets....that’s probably what is blocking your thread. I watched probably a dozen different videos, each by a different person, before I felt comfortable doing it myself. Hope this helps.
celtic 15c thank you for watching! Anbu aka Bubu aka Bubulubu aka Bunny boy Bubu aka Bububoy was not the original inspiration for Kitten Memoirs. it was actually dedicated to my cat, Ghost, that passed away last November. 😃💞
Tsunami Rose Designs awwww I'm sorry you Lost Ghost. What a lovely tribute you made in kitten memoirs. I got the journal kit, the epehmra kit and 2 more kits of journaling paper. When I do get around to making a journal from all these gorgeous papers ( hello my name is Lani and I hoard Tsunami Rose's papers!!!) I will add Ghost's name also!! Keep up the great work, it makes the heart happy!! Anubu looks just like a mini panther!!!! 🤗😃
That’s why today’s generation can’t even speak properly. It’s LENGTHWISE and WIDTHWISE. I would fire any teacher who enabled stupidity by saying hamburger, hotdog. Ugh.
