Oh Lara! This zip top is stunning!!! I love zippers for fashion and not just functionality! That collar is so retro! I remember wearing a similar sweater as a young adult in school. I gotta pick up this pattern. That zip on the collar makes it a contemporary look! Yes, I hear the train. I love it!! Good tips on the top for when I go to sew it up. I love it with the leggings and the boots. Perfect for Fall and Winter. Leave it as a tunic. Cropping sounds adorable too. Vogue patterns will go back on sale for sure! 💝💝

Hi Lara! Love your new top! The full sleeve zipper is such a cool design feature. I have an older Katherine Tilton Vogue top pattern with a neat zipper detail around the neckline (V8793). It came included with a class I took and it wasn’t a pattern I would have chosen for myself, but seeing your make puts a new perspective on it for me. Such a lovely sweater! It makes for a really nice-looking outfit! 😍 There aren't many designer-licensed patterns anymore, I think Vogue's American Designer series was probably the best..... I don't know anything about how the fits compare, but all the extra garment details - and often finishing notes which is not a thing with Big 4 - are so much fun to add to a garment. We're doing Andy's birthday on Sunday, but I'll check in if I can make a good plan where everything fits haha 😉

Your top is really lovely! I love the combination of pattern and fabric. If I remember correctly, I think there is a top/sweater pattern in an older Burdastyle magazine I have that has a zipper in the collar and on the shoulder, but the zipper stops there at the sleeve, which is a standard set in sleeve. I think the long zipper down the arm gives it even more emphasis. I don't envy you putting that zipper in a spongy fabric. My only experience with a spongy fabric was with buttonholes and it was a nightmare. I hope your experience was better.
