Sharing from my own experience.. Its been 14 year of marriage life... I have no knowledge about this npd... I was so fed up to escape from my home as my house and family is dysfunction. i took marriage as a option.. was an arranged marriage. I told many relatives about my situation but still people ask me to stay because of kids.. From starting to i was complaining took so many steps..went to parents house . But was no use... They all advice dont break a family... For a issues ,as days years pass he will be alryt.. No... There is no change in his behaviour... He is like systematic robot. No feelings. No empathy... As years pass on... I got two abortions. He is physically abuser as well. Damaged my spinal disc by beating with school bag... When he was a drunk... And final got rhematoid arthitis... Heavy. Hair loss.. Eye sight issues. I dont feel like doing any household chores. Anything.. Being this kind of continues trauma sleep is the only way to escape from reality... I sleep a lot... Being with npd... Is like everyday is a corona lockdown... Whoever reading this iam request get out of it... Its going cost too much... If we stay long.... Just run dont expect anything back..

When you explained about the victim's situation I felt the same that whether I was also in a relationship with narcissistic person , because when we ended up our relationship I felt the same, I felt very low self-esteem, always blaming myself for all the things happened in our relationship . Started to became anxious about things. Gradually I couldn't control my anxiety about my body,my work and the food I ate , TBH I was anxious about everything in my life. Even I thought about Suicide. I couldn't even sleep for more than 1 hour , I will start to see nightmares about her and start to wake up . Insomnia and anxiety became anxiety disorder which triggered IBS -D . After that I couldn't eat properly or sleep properly. I have put extra effort to do the simplest daily task. I couldn't focus on my work. But gradually I started to change my habits by restarting workout. Going for a walk , uninstalling Instagram which played a major role in moving on and started to read books and started to educate myself as someone told knowledge is power . Then found so many videos on mental health and gut health. Big thanks to anatharaman and his videos. Recently only I have found your RU-vid channel. You guys are doing a wonderful job.
Yeh. Keep working on your mental health by taking care of yourself. As you know our environment is not at all friendly for mental health you'll lack the understanding, care, empathy and kindness you deserve. That's the key in my opinion.
