I agree with you on silk shirt. I am normally between 34/XS -36/S, got their Vito blouse (it is also silk) and based on reviews and the website recommendation went with bigger size 36. It has some excess material on the waist, but fits good on arms and chest and all seams fall in correct places. Size smaller would be to tight in those areas. Just for reference, their cotton/linen Tomboy shirt I own runs definitely bigger in size 36. But I also feel if I would go with 34 it would be tight in the arms. The same with Betty, I own 5 different colors. Navy crochet and Ecru/navy stripes fit good in 36, more comfortable overall length and sleeve length. While Sage and Coffee make me feel exactly like you that sleeves could be longer and overal length too. Sizing is definitely inconsistent sometimes.
