It is quite hopeless in CJ's shoes. You can't play aggressive cause LCW's counter is too good. You can't play long rallies cause LCW's fitness is too fit. You can't out run LCW cause his speed is too fast. You can't play passive cause LCW's attack is too sharp. So CJ came up with a brilliant idea..... "I will ask my big brother LD to deal with it." LOL

every great player has their good times and bad times. this match might not have been a good time for Chen Jin but there is no denying the fact that he is a great player. when it comes to deception, there are a few tricks in his book that even the great Taufik Hidayat probably hasn't heard of. Chen Jin is a master of deception. He surpasses all. And this particular defeat is not enough to not consider him as a great player.Lee Chong Wei is good.But personally, as per game style,Chen Jin's genius

Because of the injury he had since 2010. It's sad because Chen Jin used to be better than this. He could have became another Chen Long if he still keep playing. I noticed that Chen Long's style is similar to Chen Jin's style. Solid defense and counter.

You are wrong... Chen Long beat Peter Gade but he got thrashed by Lee Chong Wei. And then Lee Chong Wei lost to Lin Dan. The correct logic would be whoever beats Lin Dan wins gold.

For those of you who think commentator was biased is actually not,He wouldnt have highlited LCW much if opponent was Lin Dan for sure.Most players lack speed of LCW except for lin dan and that makes huge difference

And Lin Dan is a clever person. He knows on a levelled field, he might not even beat lee chong wei by pressuring himself to win. He went in there with ideally no pressure/burden and tells himself "ah fuck this I have three already, losing this one wont matter. Whereas LCW was winning like a dickhead in every early tournaments, giving everyone an idea how pumped up/assured he is but instead he is creating pressure for himself. Lin Dan not only triumphs with his skills but also strategically.

Taufik had never been a top player, just never. 2004 and 2005 were just his lucky years to won olympics and bwf respectively. If Taufik had played against mature Chong Wei or mature Lin Dan in 2004 or 2005, he would've collapsed. By the way he achieved nothing special after 2005, also couldn't even beat underperformed Chen Jin in 2010 final for god sake!

absolutely not. LCW is good. but in this match, Chen Jin is out of form. Otherwise, Chen Jin is a master of deception. He is fantastic. i love his game. And that trademark Chinese Cross Court Smash drop of his is absolutely unbeatable. I have studied all of their games closely and i feel that Chen Jin is unbeatable at the top of his form. LCW is a great player but his time is gone now. He has an injured shoulder.

in deception, nobody equals taufik....he is a master....how he increases his pace and slows.....how he jumps for a smash and then plays a dropshot....that is deception.....otherwise, any player can play cross court smashes like Lin Dan to deceive. I don't disagree to the fact that he is a great player. But he is more Power and Taufik hidayat is more poetry. In fact, Chen Jin is a better deceiver in the Chinese style of badminton.

Are you serious? you can pretty much tell every shot taufik is going to play over head everytime he raises his racket, whereas not even Lee Chong Wei can read Lin Dans deception even after the countless times they've played. I was never a fan of how Taufik played, his movement was nowhere near as graceful, he was much slower, and had quite a square hitting stance, not the most stylish of players.

yes, you are absolutely right. there is no doubt that lin dan is a great athlete. he has set many records. but, he isn't the first one. TAUFIK is. besides, he doesn't impress me. he is quick and lightning fast but he isn't magical. taufik is. to me, TAUFIK HIDAYAT will always be the greatest player and also the greatest stylist of all times. no wonder he is coined as THE MAGICAL TAUFIK!
