I think SF6 is a more superior game as a whole. The World Tour and battle hub are incredible and highly addicting. Personally, I don't care much for drive impact system, but it also makes the game standout against SF5. The thing I like more about SF5 is the character roster, but I'm sure at some point most of those characters will make their way to SF6. Lastly, I prefer the look of SF5. Each has their strengths and weaknesses, which are a matter personal preference.

Yes! The speed and responsiveness feels like my feet stuck in sand. In sf5 i’m free and In sf6 I have to wait my turn

@qxpn9220 I disagree with this personally, in sfv the speed of combat felt more slow and sloppy like and too bland/samey across the board. Yeah in sf6 the drive meter is so much but it also brings so much more to the table in terms of creativity, whereas in sfv most people wouldn't even use ex moves because they wanted to save for their critical art, stopping supers and ex moves from using the same bar was an amazing change and I hope it never goes back to 5s way again

I bought 5 at launch it was a complete disaster. It took a few years to get it into a good place which to be fair its in great shape now. Sf6 is learning form that clamity of a luanch so i see 6 being far better than 5 and from what ive ayed in the betas and demos it already is a better game.

That’s a great point, SF6 is kinda “Setting the stage” for the standard of a fighting game. So future fighting games, if you don’t have XYZ thing, then you’re kinda below the standard the SF6 has set 😅

Didn't Soul Caliber 4 have a create a fighter mode, a story mode, arcade, online, and it was released on July 29, 2008 which is more than 10 years ago?

@IMOVAHERE It may have, but the big difference here being that was 10 years ago so online wasn't as smooth as what we've got now. Also this is SF, which is the series that basically started it all, where SC is great, but not quite as big. My point is for a while fighting games have lacked in different features depending on the series, but having one of the biggest series actually get good features will set a bar that subsequent games will need to meet in order to be nearly as attractive to new players and vets alike.

SF5 was DOGSHIT tier at release. However, after a giant injection of money into the game, it became legit great. I so wish Marvel vs Capcom infinite had the same treatment...

Also certain characters retain v skills and v triggers as installs and super moves. Guile has his v skill as qcb attack and his lvl 2 install is basically his vtrigger

Street fighter V & Ultra Street Fighter 4 were both better than Street Fighter 6. The characters were way more muscular! The Zangief in Street Fighter 6 is ridiculous. Also, the world tour on 6 is ǰust not for me . . . . 5 & 4 we're the best 👌.

The character designs and modeling, dont get me wrong i agree that Street Fighter V has more stylized visuals to the character modeling design with the cartoon 3D artstyle and the big body proportions like the feet and hands and i like it, but imo i like Street Fighter VI better because the way how the characters are modeled, it took for a more realistic approach to the body proportions and well texture

@onestep Most fans like the SFV model designs more because of the 3D cartoon artstyle that's more faithful to the original classic street fighter from the past. I think it's gonna take them time to get used to the Street Fighter VI character design modeling since it went to a more detailed realistic approach Overall which game is better, Street Fighter 6 all day

the most annoying thing about SF V was the loading screen it takes to much time, glad that SF 6 solved that problem. but in general both games are fun to play

SFV started out really bad I'm not gonna lie alot of bad decisions went into it like no XBOX version I was thankful I had a ps4 at the time. The dlc choices were awful as well as starting roster no way in hell that a character like Guile and E. Honda should be payed dlc. No decent story mode Arcade mode was crap or non-existent. But I still hoped and believed that the game would be better and lucky for us it did Season 3 and up was fantastic all the baddies from all street fighters made it in Oro was a huge welcome crossover characters coming into the game Akira is pretty fun. SF6 is a young game it will take a few years to figure out if it's truly good or bad but being out on all platforms except Nintendo dlc seems decent so far can't wait until season 2 and beyond to see how the final roster will look like in total.

Im bias. I hate 5. Only thing good about 5 was the cast and ost. As far as game play. Naw V-trigger comeback mechanic killed any joy actually had for the game. The lack of character difference meaning everyone use the character for 90% of the game the same. Majority paces of the matches are lopsided. Meaning you either stomp the entire match or got reversal v trigger and lose. Also tiers were horrible in sf5. I cant say the same about sf6. Every character can win on every level of the game yes gief snake eyez and others are proving that. Lily Hibiki is destroying majority of japan and asia. The flow is great and there's always a way to win unless you had a mental break down. There's different ways to use character and styles. The pacing of sf6 is actually the best of all street fighters minus the alpha series. Thats debatable. Sure sf6 is far from perfect but ill play this a million times before i go back to 5. Hell ill just play other fighters like GGs and tekken before i look at sf5. Sorry for being bias but i enjoyed sf5 game play first season however after the dp nerfs v triggers just destroyed the game for me.

come on. this isn't a real debate. 5 is the weakest SF from a purely mechanical standpoint while 6 rivals 3 as the best set of mechanics in the whole series. add in the world tour mode, modern control accessibility, etc., it's not a contest.

But you still have to “fight” on modern. Meaning you have to block, read your opponent, punish, learn combos, all that’s that requires a good fighter to learn

@@onestep Here's why survivor mode makes Street Fighter 5 so good on play. Because you'll get rewarded on the points that you can get to get customs or characters. And the fight money is actually worth investing. In street fighter six, you'd better only have anything Have original story that doesn't do anything Add the arcade endings are great, but it doesn't give you anything. We need points to get some rewarding so we can get costumes. Add characters we can't get that in 6. So overall, I think street fighter takes the cake plus The new controls aint that really good? Compare towards streetfighter 5 game play mechanics.

The art style of sf6 looks terrible. Characters leaking colorfoul painting makes it messy ans childish. I dont like ot at all.
