That setup at 5:35 was NICE. Shit like that is why Sim is top tier. His layers to his mix is REALLY GOOD and hes REALLY GOOD at keeping you out too. the low hover setups he gets are so dirty. you have to fear the jump hp, the empty float to low, the empty float to re float to hp, the empty float to grab, and then the empty float to shimmy and then on top of that he can drill kick force block to pressure or fake the drill kick like he did there to grab, shimmy, etc. Sim has so many good options that are actually hard to react to. oh, and if he suspects a reversal, he can safely get out and block it in time. oh and yoga blast beats drive impact and is safe on block wtf so good like random drive impacting him too lol

What I have seen in these years is that the Japanese only use characters that are easy to use and combat, for example Tokido without Akuma is nothing, the same thing will happen with Kakeru, maybe CAPCOM does not nerf JP otherwise the Japanese are left without a representative in the CAPCOM CUP
Kakeru played Ryu at the end of SFV and did very well. Good players are good regardless of the character. Tokido is a multigame champion, one of the best ever to play fighting games, so GTFO with this nonsense.
What? Daigo played Ken, Akuma, Ryu and Guile from Alpha to SF6. Nemo, Momochi, Gachikun, etc all played different characters. I'm not sure what you are talking about. Also, America was also known to play multi characters to "meta switch" during SF4 days. Now many have switched to the Japanese style of character specialization.
Deluded take. JP isn't exactly easy to use unless you're against scrubs. Don't know why you're singling out Kakeru and Japan when China are abusing the character.
