Beside that, Guile is Ryu's counter; Kusanagi has a below 40% chance to win in this battle. So I say this is a bad match up for him.

Wasn't a misinput. He was expecting Guile to throw a Boom. He took a gamble and lost. I'm assuming he figured he was going to lose anyway because he was in burnout with low health.

It happened twice, Ryu's tatsu can punish a boom but you gotta do it very early so it's a pretty hard read, i don't think it's worth it but that's how the matchup is against Guile.

@benross9174 in that case it really didn't matter. If he stayed there, he'd lose the fb game. If he blocked, he would be chipped out. If he got close, he could take the risk of jumping over his boom for the win but that's the same as him doing a tatsu because all guile has to do is play safe. The game was already over. He just expedited it.
