@TUME 1 it's honestly very entertaining. I've been helping my brother play game and watch and hes come a long way Magister just knows his character in and out and goes all in which is fucking awesome!
@TUME 1 he's so extremely fast with everything he does it looks like he's practiced so much and uses what works best in nearly every situation. He's a beast
4:04 Leo short hops with gun, jumps a second time, and fast falls into nair. The players deserve so much credit for their success, not just the characters.
I hate it when people just brags about a character being "OP". It's the player and their skill who gets the job done, Maister showed us that, and MkLeo's adaptability to any situation in tournaments is unbelievable. Both players were amazing!
With arsene it makes him broken but joker alone he ranks up damage combos without aresene and he makes a little damage without arsene. Joker is not going to be the best character in the game. I'm pretty sure there are other characters that can beat joker but not beat mkleo. so yeah.
@@betheprotag Of course it doesn't, even if I sound like a fangirl cheering for him everytime I get the chance to do it. MkLeo seems like an amazing player to me, and it doesn't matter which character you play, it'll never change your skills as a player

@@jakefrompc6287 he doesn't rely on it, he always do it at the end of a combo. it work, he get a kill, it doesn't, he still get a few percents. G and W don't have many combos finishers as good
So what happened in the final game after a close set the whole way? My observations: 1) Leo was very aggressive in the earlier games and Maister punished well. In the final game Leo adapted with some small hesitations that threw off Maister's timing 2) Maister let the moment get to him. In the earlier games he responded to Leo patiently and creatively (e.g. 4:15 after Leo rebel-guarded his spaced bair, he responds with a dair for the kill), but in the final game: a) Leo catches him making untimely air dodges (e.g. 13:58) , and b) Maister falls back too much on his up-B. Before, he used it strategically, and got a lot off of it (up-B into uair or nair, etc), whereas in the final game he throws it out as a panic option, which was far less effective and Leo made him pay for it
Game and watch is good, but mkleo is mkleo... huge congrats to both players... hope they perform amazingly at future tournaments and strive to become champions of some tournament
I'm ngl I feel like Maister could've won those games much more earlier and easily if he didnt keep going for the judgement hammer. Then again, Maister is the god of hype.
Y’all stfu about joker being broken maister and Leo both fought their hearts out and both have things to improve on there will be other matches it’s the player not the character
It’s not that Maister is struggling against Joker and not Arsene, it’s that Maister is getting combo’d at low percents (generally when MKLeo is also at low percents).
I wonder if the last game could have went differently if Maister didn’t hit two 1s as Leo went down to one stock. Maister gave himself an extra 24% to bring it up to 99% against Leo’s last stock.
I'm not sure whether Leo was a bit shaky this tournament or whether other people are just figuring him out. Of course both of them played great, but Leo just seemed a little bit off this tournament.
Yeah I think they were both afraid of each other. I watch Maister a lot and he seemed more cautious, which is unusual for him. I think it's because both players are really good and they both know they are good. MkLeo is obviously one of the best players in the game. Maister is also really good but he has the "unfamiliar matchup advantage" and the explosive kill power of bucket and 9. Leo did a good job. He never gave Maister full bucket. It was also unfortunate that Maister didn't get any 9's. That's RNG for ya though.
Apes4Days nerf jokerrrr. Either shorten the time for arsene or nerf his damage and counter. It’s pure bs. That some characters don’t even have a single option better than joker’s third or fourth best option. Wtf. They should nerf normal joker’s fsmash too.
@@0vershadow Honestly, the counter is the only thing I agree with there. Rebel's Guard is fine as it is, but the counter with Arsene is a bit ridiculous. The only reason I think Arsene is fine as is is because without Arsene he hits like a noodle.

Even this match especially the damage dealt per hit isn’t any less than most characters. Mkleo actually was winning more with joker in this set. And his fsmash and back air kill most characters in the early 100s while other characters seem to still have trouble sending joker to his death until the mid 100s with their own smashes. And what other character has a charge up anywhere close to arsene? Wario’s waft? Samus’s ball? Donkey Kong? Cloud? Mewtwo? How is joker balanced when his charge up is levels better than everyone else’s but his is the easiest to charge. Arsene is pretty much guaranteed to get every stock while other characters might not even get to charge in time and only get one hit with their charged attack. All I’m saying is that something as good as arsene should be harder to charge up not be the easiest most guaranteed charge in the game.
The fact that there are some characters that are barely staying even with normal joker. How is this fair that joker can go super Saipan and others are straight up krillin. plus charging arsene is like the easiest shit compared to the charging for Samus, donkey Kong, cloud, wario. Easier to charge and 100x better. Where is the balance?
0vershadow I think base joker is really fair actually. Arsene is a bit much. Wish they did what they did with lucario, lessening the comeback mechanic to make the character more balanced overall
I realise that i never saw a 9 on every hit he took from judge but im on game 2 right now so It was a great match btw but i forgot about gnw having to be tied for the third lightest character in smash so its kind of a dissapointment knowing that joker + arsen is going to demolish gnw but i believe in maisters way of studying his opponents
MKLeo and Maister are good players that I can't choose who's better. However Joker really needs to be nerfed especially with his down b. Mr. Game & Watch's buff in Ultimate is already fine with me because he was low tier in other games.
I main joker and I just want arsene nerfed so people stop complaining. I like the character a lot so it sucks that I get hate for playing him. I think non arsene joker is pretty fine honestly though
As a joker main I think this matchup is like 55-45 in Game N’ Watch’s favor. It’s hard as hell to apply shield pressure and punish landings against him. Maister was insane in this set though.

@@MeatYourDEMYRO Leo is really good but let's be real here, Joker is not even close to being average. Joker is everything Sheik lacks on top of having pretty much the same mobility, it puts you on kill percentage with insane combos without Arsene then destroys you when Arsene comes out.
Idc how good mkleo is. it just gets boring when the character doesn't have anything entertaining in it's kit. Aside from drag down into up b, Joker is super boring to watch. Most often you just wait until arsen 3 stocks someone. And sure Maister held off, but Jokers already powerful enough on his own that Maister dies anyway. Just boring.
