+Sp00kyFox it's the English voice. They just completely ditched flash kick from the game in favor for somersault kick. (Which was the Japanese version.) it's like when they made "Nash" universal.
My first thought on Guile's release day after 9 hours was - while Guile has some of the most flashy and amazing combos, he is kinda weak, doesn't have many starters to open up his opponents and the range on many of his normals got nerfed. But I also said give me more time and I will report back. Tbh I haven't had much time playing Guile since then though because of RL stuff and work I have only spent like 25 hours max on this character so far, but this is my opinion now - I am playing Guile without the loop or any advanced combos running on a 90% win rate now, just doing proper zoning, well spaced AAs and well placed SBs. I am playing Guile basically the same way I did in USF4. Works pretty well for me.Also many ppl jump in vs Vskill and when I don't throw the SB afterwards I can hit them everytime with FK. Guile prob. has the best defense game in SFV and you don't rly need to rely on any of his advanced loop combos to win games. You need some solid fundamentals of his range and SFV to keep up with the rest of the cast. From my exp. Guile is upper mid tier IMO, rly solid and prob. better than he was in the last USF4 patch. I hope I will have some more time on the upcoming few weeks, so I will report back once again to see what further stuff I find out about Guile SFV
SonicChronos hope they didn't intend to release them only for the basic characters because that would be really disappointing, I'm watching the good combos from Bafael and the others but these are hands down the best videos you can watch to pick up a character, understand him, learn 3-4 easy combos and start trying him online in a matter of minutes.
+kikentai Damn right you are, i tried to do the trial 9 for guile doing the up -back technique with no success. You could do it easily if you do the ch. Down up forward hk, then down back and up forward p. Works like a charm.
You guys just completely gave up on these guides right? Nice to know. I was looking forward to seeing an official look at Akuma which we already had to wait like a year for to see what you guys say but guess that ain't happening now.
I feel like this is one of the best versions of guile yet. I've only spent a short amount of time in the lab with him so far but sooooo much better than sf4 guile already imo. though maybe tell him to stop putting concrete mix in his shampoo. with all the other goofy character abilities like hakan / dan / etc have, I think guile should have a sort of charge knockback. look at that flat top. guile tucks his chin in and bam: golden battering ram.
mykickass100 It's uf. That way, after doing the db charge for both flash kick and sonic hurricane, uf will do both inputs for u+k and the f part of the super. After that, all you'd need to do is b, f just for the super (As shown in the video). In order words, you're doing half of the inputs for the super during the flash kick
Good tutorial but can you at least time your explanation with the video?! sometimes I get confused and not sure if you're describing what I see in the video.
8:35 Wait, what!? You can do the charge motions for the super while pressing other buttons!? I had no idea! Wait, could you do that in past games too? No one told me this! F*ck! I feel stupid now! DX
His first challenge is jump HK + crouch MP + Flash Kick. For the crouch part trying hold diagonal down back instead of down so as soon as crouch MP is pressed you can input the next command. It's hard to explain but easy once you get the first combo down
If you learn to hold the charge as a diagonal that opens it up to both a projectile and flash kick that you can pull out for different situations in combos
I don't main charge characters but one thing I learned that was a huge help. .you can always be charging. before the match starts. .when you're in the air..getting up from a fall etc. maybe that'll help you a bit?
Why even give a release schedule if you're not going to follow it or you can't realistically make those dates? Not a very smart marketing move to make promises you can't keep especially after all the media bashing :\
the fact that i, a new player, watched this entire guide & still dont know what "target combo" is means this is a shitty guide. i get that you have a lot to cover in 10 mins but why would you just assume i know all this shit?
