Those coos looked massive! Wee paddy was shaking watching that! 🐶🐶🐃🐃 A fantastic wee film Frank and you managed to capture some amazing shots! That sunlight streaming down from the clouds! Amazing. Another wild and wet day but lime always you strolled through it like a pro! Brilliant mate! Always a joy watching your films! Paul
Cheers Paul for the kind comments.👍 yeh they are bloody massive up close and that last one was just farting in my face🤣🤣🤣 I absolutely loved that munro and I got it just right before the clag rolled in on my way down. That neck of the woods is just lovely. Can’t wait for the Knoydart Munros.👍 Cheers mate. ATB Frank👍🥾🏔
Brilliant as always Frank. Just in the nic of time with the weather bud. Very atmospheric conditions on the way up. Brian will be glad he is not the only one falling on his arse lol. Fantastic mate well worth the 0420 start. Pity you missed out on the double bagging as that is some trek. ATB Tam
Cheers Tam, timing was spot on and defo worth the early start. I love those conditions when the clouds are coming and going all the time.yeh me and Brian will need to tally up whose been down the most by the end of the year🤣🤣 Thanks again for watching Tam. ATB Frank👍🏔🥾
Cheers Stevie, yeh I watched your vid on it before I went. They midgies were brutal for you & Eddie.🤣🤣 the forecast was to be pretty bad, but I defo got up there just in the nick of time, I thoroughly enjoyed that munro which offered fantastic views. Thanks again for taking the time to watch & comment Stevie.👍 ATB Frank.
Fantastic video yet again! Very atmospheric conditions, captured very well. Love it when you get a wee sweet treat find in the corner of your rucksack, special moments! Thanks for sharing.
Thankyou for your comment, yeh conditions were better than forecast that day altho it got worse as the hike went on. I love those kinda atmospheric conditions. And yes Mrs Tilleys tablet to the rescue.🤣🤣 Thanks again for watching ATB Frank.👍🏔🥾
I'm only #24 but this was my favourite mountain so far. I got views out to Skye and I was just blown away by the beauty and remoteness of that area. As always, fantastic video Frank which brought back some very special memories 👍
Hi Euan, thanks for watching. I can see why it’s your fav so far. It’s a spectacular part of Scotland and there’s a real feel of remoteness. I’m certain that on your munro journey you’ll be blown away by many more spectacular mountains.👍🏔 Thanks again for taking the time to watch ATB Frank.👍🏔🥾
You certainly captured the day really well Frank 👌 the big heighlan beasties are a joy to behold 🐮 but it was like thou shall not pass 🤣 coos , sheep and deer the wildlife unite to thwart Scotfaze 171060 🤣 cracking atmospheric views at the summit 🏔 Superb again bud 👏 atb Brian 👍
🤣🤣 cheers Brian, I could have been halfway up the mountain by the time I got past that last one, he wasn’t giving a shit.🤣🤣 yeh I loved the views while they were there brian, very atmospheric indeed. Cheers bud, ATB Frank.
Hi Frank another watchable video capturing it all perfectly and timing the summit just right. Those enduro batteries last ages, on my Wales trip 1 would last all day but you probably do more filming than me. Cheers
🤣🤣 cheers Andy, I’ve got 3 of them batteries, but prob won’t need any of them now that I have the GoPro Volta. Timing was just right Andy to get the views as they came and went. You’ll love this one when you get around to doing it. Beautiful area around there.👍🏔 Cheers mate. Frank.
Cheers Andy, yeh couldn’t believe my timing. Views came and went at summit, but when they came it was awesome.👍 Great day out Andy, feckin long drive tho. ATB Frank.👍
Fantastic video yet again! Very atmospheric conditions, captured very well. Love it when you get a wee sweet treat find in the corner of your rucksack, special moments! Thanks for sharing.
Hi Duncan, sorry for late reply, I thought I had messaged you. Yeh I love those atmospheric conditions prob my fav. That is one special place up there and I was glad I got some views from the summit. Yeh I forgot I had that slab of tablet, great wee find🤣🤣 Thanks again for watching Duncan. ATB Frank👍🏔🥾
@@hikingwithfrank315 Not a problem at all Frank, you had messaged me but for some reason my message has been posted twice and you had replied to the other one 😂 No idea what has happened, wee glitch must be! Thanks for messaging again, it’s a sign for me to get out to this one! 🤙
Cheers Robert, what a fantastic area up there, I absolutely love it. Yeh the big bugger was just playing with me I think, I was behind him for about 10 mins 🤣🤣 Cheers again mate. Frank.👍🏔🥾
Ur certainly meeting the wildlife now Frank, lol.Highland coos don't give a feck.🤣👍 Another great vid in a lovely area.Just checked my photo records of this one as my pal Abel has not long done it as well. Sun 28/10/2018 I did this and in some places I was wading through a foot of snow.Bit of a freakish year for snow that didn't last.Going back in Quioch way next year for Sgurr Mor.😃👍
Cheers Andy, yeh I seem to be meeting them quite a lot recently, I was stuck behind that last coo for ages, he just wouldn’t budge.🤣🤣 I absolutely loved that hike, what a fantastic area for views. Are you going to kayak over to Sgurr Mor or go via Gairich.?
@@hikingwithfrank315 2 options i'm looking at Frank.Either crossing the dam and going round Gairich up Glen Kingie or try cycle the tracks crossing the bridge at the start of the small Loch Poulary which will take me up Glen Kingie.😃👍🚲
One I’ve still to do frank, so I watched with interest - I’d planned a circular route but you didn’t take that? The shots over LQ were brilliant- the light and low cloud. Which GoPro are you using cos it’s working well. Gordon
Hi Gordon, I was going to do the loop if conditions were good, but the forecast was to deteriorate as the day went on, so I opted just to go up and down the same way for quickness. When you get to the summit you can either go left to take the ridge back down to the road or go right at the summit which is the walk highland route. Yeh the light was amazing at times, what a fantastic area up there. I’m using the latest GoPro the Hero 11, it’s a very good all rounder Gordon.👍 ATB Frank.
@@hikingwithfrank315 yeh I’ll need to see how it is when I get there frank - hoping to link in with spidean and co next to it. We’ll see. GoPro 11 seems very good 👍
Cracker of a day Frank, apart fae the wind. Nice to see that hill. Another in the NW I've still tae dae. I dunno how many times I've slipped like that oan the hill. 😁
Cheers kev, it’s a cracker of a hill, glad I got some views at the summit before the clag came in for good. Nearly went on my arse about a dozen times coming doon🤣🤣 Cheers mate Frank
Great effort Frank!👍. You were very lucky getting these summit views given the weather last weekend. Just as well you had made an early start and managed to overtake the locals 🐮. Your sound was good given the windy conditions. Are you using an external mic? ATB Derek
Cheers Derek, yeh I was expecting a lot worse when I arrived. Got to the summit just in time before the clag came in for good. What a place up there, absolutely spectacular👍 love it when the clouds are coming and going. That last highland coo was going nowhere fast🤣🤣 sat behind him for ages. I’ve tried the external mic ( the rode wireless ) before, which is good, but too much faffing around and the batteries never lasted a full hike. My set up now is so simple, I bought the silicon cover for my GoPro and my wife sewed a wee furry sock over the mic intake on the silicon cover so that it’s permanently attached. Works a lot better than GoPros own mic. My setup allows better ambient wind noise than the wireless rode which in my opinion cuts out too much of the wind. Hope that helps you Derek. Thanks again for watching. ATB Frank👍🏔🥾
That sounds a great solution for wind noise Frank. I've a foam windshield, but its a footer to fit when the GoPro is in its case. I need to get back up that hill at some point. Climbed it on an August day when was blue skies and 25 degrees in Fort William. By time we arrived at Loch Quoich cloud was down to the road with steady drizzle and we got zero visibility all day. On drive home it was still wall to wall sun in the Fort! 😂
@@scottishclimber7630 yeh I’ve tried the foam one as well Derek and know what you mean. What I’m doing just now is the best I’ve ever tried👍 Shame about your last trip to the mountain, that’s just Sod’s law eh. Good excuse to go back as its cx a cracker.
