A lot of guys I’ve noticed stack body lifts on suspension lifts. That way you don’t shred your suspension components too fast.

So on my second gen dodge, if I stack a hellbent steel leveling kit on top of a 7” lift coil spring from dodge off-road, it’ll be okay?

Another case is (like mine) spindle lifts and coil spacers. A spindle lift just drops the hub assembly (2wd) lower and keeps the same angles and then adding a coil spacer is just like putting a leveling kit on stock suspension. I have 3.5” spindle lift and a 3” coil spacer making 6.5” of lift

Did something similar to my 12' Ram 1500. 6" bds lift, used 5100 bilstein struts and set them for 1.5 inches of lift. Since I had a leveling kit in my truck to begin with I used the rear spacer on top of the lift coils to gain an inch there. But I upgraded my UCAs and the the kit came with a front diff drop so my angles aren't so cringeworthy.

On the Mcgaughys lift site they have the same thing you did. Not saying you copied. But the only 8" kot I could find for my f150 was one with a 6 inch kit, add-a-leaf, spacers and Bilstien 5100 adjustable shocks as well. It says it keeps the angles perfect.

Not sure if I'm too late for a response, I know you can't give a direct yes or no answer, but my question is I have a 2wd 2006 Silverado with a 6inch rc lift, I'm wanting to ditch the coil spacer and put in the 6inch Fabtech 6inch lifted coil, but also add a 1or 2 inch coil spacer on top of that. Putting aside any driveline issues I could have, my concern is if I can extend the rc nitro 2.0 shocks another inch or 2 like that? Or would I need to find some kind of adjustable shock? Most information it seems are for struts so I've been a little confused on what would happen with my shock, it also seems pretty tough to find the parts I need because it is 2wd lol. Any help would be appreciated!

I did this to my Silverado. I have a 7.5 lift RC lift kit. And I did add a 2.5 lift kit. The 2.5 lift was a 2 piece , One spacer for the top of the strut, and one for the bottom. I sold the top piece and kept the bottom one. So I’m prettt much ah like 9.. I’m saying 9 because my buddy had a 9 inch mcgaughys lift and parked next to each other we were dead on leveled. BUT my rear was higher. By like an inch. I did have to install RC 3 inch lift upper control arms cause the stock ones MESSED UP FAST. ride isn’t so great. But it looks good. My CV Axles are maxed. But still work fine.

You have to get a larger drop on the front cross member to fix cv angles. This will make less ground clearance in the middle, but is really the only way. That's y the gm rough country 7.5" lift has bad angles, cause the cross member drop is only like 4", but they put a strut spacer to make it 7.5". That's why you'll see companies that call their lifts "true 6" lift...or whatever size ) is because the cross member is 6" more (or whatever size? than the factory c.m.

Finally Brad you made a good video can you make a video if some coilovers or strut assemblies are interchangeable from a two-wheel drive to four-wheel drive or a 4 wheel drive to 2 wheel drive what I did is I have two wheel drive F-150 and I wanted to add a four inch rough country struts on the website it only said they are only for four-wheel drive application I popped these on on my two-wheel drive in a gave it for and a half in of lift about half an inch taller than regular it had the same mounting points I couldn't find nowhere in the forums or any video about somebody doing this so I have to spend my own money and I did it on my own taking that $394 risk

So can you add a 2" level to a 6" dirt logic coilover??
@CustomOffsetsTV
@CustomOffsetsTV 7 лет назад
You would have to research and look into it, as we cannot actually say, "no or yes" due to liability. Some trucks can, some trucks cannot get away with it

I have a 2008 f250 that has a previously installed 2" spacer below the front coil springs. I'm wanting to level the truck but I need another 2.5" of lift. Can I safely add a 2.5" ready lift sst leveling spacer kit on top of the springs in addition to the 2" spacer that's already on the truck?
@CustomOffsetsTV

We do not recommend stacking, but people have done it, more then likely truck is level lifted, so the rear has an add a leaf, or a small lift block, to compensate for a trailer being on it, or a salt box etc!

I have a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 rocky ridge. It has a 4” spacer but everything has been dropped for a 6” lift. Can I just add a 2” leveling kit? My angles are terrible right now. But just the opposite of what you usually see on lifter trucks. My control arms and cv’s point up instead of down. I assume 2” more would make my angles just about flat. Can I do this?? Also. Can I go higher than 6” in the rear. The tallest rear block I can find is 6”? Can I not go higher than that without a longer axle?

We do not recommend stacking spacers the best thing to do would to just go with a bigger kit. Here is a link to lift kits that fit your vehicle: www.customwheeloffset.com/store/suspension?year=2014&make=GMC&model=1500&drive=4WD

I have a 2011 silverado with a 4” cst lift with strut spacers and the diff drop so my cv’s are almost level. Can I replace the 4” strut spacer with a 6” strut to end up with 6 inches of lift? If i can I’ll order on your site tonight!

the extra 2" may push your CV and ball joint angles to a unsafe/unreliable amount of angle Michael, best bet would be to do some research on it and see if it can handle that much more angle

I have a 2012 silverado ltz.put a 3 inch strut spacer and 3 inch knuckle and rough country upper control arm.gave me a true 6 inch lift.with 3 inch rear block and 2 add a leaf by zone.and black max shocks.damn thing drives like a Cadillac on the road and holds the ground on the dirt.i didn't want that extra tall block in rear.seem too unstable.and didn't want that 6 inch spacer looking all generic on top of my strut.and rebuilt entire front end.all under 600.00

I have a tuff country 4 inch lift. It doesn't use a new knuckle. Just a spacer. Doesnt put the drive angles at the best but i had my uncle shave down the spacer sonits definitely better. But can you buy a knuckle from. Another company and install them with a different kit? Like a tough country knuckle and add it??

Hey custom offsets, is it a good idea to buy a 6in BDS lift for a 2009-2014 F150, and put the strut spacer on a FOX 2.0 Coilover?? Help!

If you listened in the video, we cannot recommend stacking setups, its something you'd have to research on your own Kernal

08 silverado 2wd lifting the front with a 3 inch spacer on top and a 1 inch spacer on the bottom , I' m also changing out the ucas with ones that work with a 2-4 inch lift do you believe I will be okay?
@CustomOffsetsTV

You'll be putting alot of stress on alot of components with the struts pushing down on stock everything that much. Need to do it the right way and have a lift kit Regis.

The real question is what other upper control arm can we get. That would let us have the angles we need. I have a rc 5in strut & knuckle kit going with a 2in level= 7in total lift. What other brands would work for this..

I have a 2018 f150 rwd i have a 4.5” maxtrac spindle kit and im about to stack 2.5” leveling kit to make 7” of lift and a 4” block in the rear. The ucas should sit like a 2.5” leveling kit only bc the maxtrac spindles keep the geometry the same

So it should be ok to take an already leveled truck with say a Halo Lift Aluma coilover at say 2-2.5" and then buy a 4" lift kit and just add a 2" spacer to your coilover, that should be ok to get you to the 4" height?
