Heard this song on Spotify this morning. My wife loved it. I told her it was from Sha Na Na. She had no idea what I was talking about. Long live Bowzer.
Those were the good ol days. Dr. Jones Cartoons, Happy Days, Mork and Mindy, Three's Company, The Love Boat, Chips, Simon and Simon. Yeah, I guess I'm fucking old, lol.
I had forgotten all about this show until tonight when I told my son "It's time to go." That song popped into my head and I had to look it up. I barely remember it because I was really little, but loved watching the last couple seasons with my dad.

I used to watch it with my mom. It was shown quite late at night here (South Africa) and I usually fell asleep on the couch watching this with her. She'd wake me up to sing this bit with her, then carry me to bed and tuck me in. I miss her. 😚
Sheels1976 Yeah i vividly remember this from my childhood. At 10 years old i thought Bowser was so big and tough. Now at 40 looking back he seems so skinny. lol
I remember watching this along with Dance Fever and Solid Gold every Saturday night back in the day. I loved the lady announcer with the Noo Yawk accent saying every week at the end, "Portions of this program were pre-recorded...so they could be destroyed in time!" Still cracks me up.
yes remember all those shows you mentioned (along with this one) i grew up in Canada but thanks to cable channels from Maine i got to see all this stuff...yeah i miss the old school tv format ,,,full opening and closing credits , promos of other shows coming up , local tv ads in between
I remember them singing “Good Night Sweetheart” at the end of every show. I was in middle school at the time and I totally LOVED them! We love you guys Sha Na Na!!! ❤️
I remember living to watch this show. It never seemed to get a big audience. My mother was mystified as to the "entertainment" of it, but the closing clip brings back such great memories. Life was more innocent then, and this was in the mid- to late-70s.
Amazing. I barely remember this show, but I remember the close of it. I was born in 1975, so I was little when my parents watched it. But I have always remembered the closing song. I sing it to my 13 year old daughter most nights as I tuck her into bed! SO cool to see this here. Thanks fr posting!

These guys were the best. We made sure we watched the show. No vhs at the time or all of us would have them on tape. When oh when will a dvd be available? I know its a legal nightmare to do so but I know it would sell.
I watched this with my grandma from India and she loved it. She didn't speak English but she cracked up and loved the singing. She also could never stop laughing when Rod Stewart came on with "Do ya think I'm sexy."
Yes indeed, this was the "Pilot" episode. Notice Johnny's sideburns are much longer here. They kind of "cleaned" the guys up when the series began...which is kinda sad because they gave up the "Greased and Ready to kick ass" aspect, which to me anyway was their true heyday. Still in all, these guys were the greatest show on earth.
To think this song wouldn't exist in our childhood memories if it wasn't for Jimi Hendrix's gracious insistence that the Woodstock organisers let Sha Na Na play before he took the stage to close the festival.
💥Man,the good ole days are soooooo special. As a kid I truly didn't know how Blessed🙏 I was. Not only the tv shows, but the cartoons, the movies, and even the commercials were amazing. I'm sorry, but today's so-called entertainment just isn't the same. It seems like we lost something. It's like someone decided to fix what wasn't broken🤔. Give me a strictly 60s,70s and 80s type of Netflix subscription service that includes all tv shows and original commercials and I'll pay ANY amount. On top of that, air the shows in their original time slots if possible showing each episode once a week.

My mother used to make me sit through this show when I was a kid. Shaped my disdain for 50s acapella for 35 years..lol. It's well composed and all but I would feel tortured to sit through it.

I remember the closing logos for this TV series...Pierre Cossette Productions followed by the Lexington Broadcast Services Company (LBS) "Pan-Out" logo with its spacey music...but I realized they were cut off this clip.
The crazy thing about the closing credits of this show is when Bowzer moves his arm and fist as a kid his arm looked big but seeing it as a grown man his arm looks small now RIP Bowzer!!
wow pre teen memories from the late 70's /early 80s ,,,it was this or Hee Haw on Saturday nights ..mostly it was Hee Haw when Dad was home ..when he was away on Army exercises Mom let us watch this ..however , not as good as i remember it from childhood (liker MANY shows from that era ) still better regular tv then today's "regular tv" that you dont stream
@crow672008 crow i agree. i'd like to see this show again. i used to watch it all the time when it aired originally in the mid to late 70's and i have not seen it since. I don't care if it is TBS, Nick at Nite,TV Land, or whatever. Just get this aired. :(
Well someone who seems to not suffer from the age thing said that this was from the pilot episode. I have a hard enough time remember folks names LOL Years or dates forget about it LOL.
