Shabba I always thought you were a talented artist with a distinctive voice you were not one of my favourites because your lyrics were too vulgar. I'm here listening to you and is very surprised. I have a brand new respect you you as a father and husband especially the part were you said you use the morning commute to reason & listen to you son that touched me. Also you look damn good at your age. God's blessing to you and your family last but not least . Respect again for marring a black woman👍

Wow......the morals, principles AND basic values of this man could be given as a “how to LIVE” guide for many of todays youths Has one woman who he evidently cherishes AND she comes from the same place he grew up, Wakes his sons out of bed every morning, takes good care of his mother, respects his elders, Cooks food for the family and does not lead a party lifestyle in general Now juxtaposed with today’s dancehall Dj’s of which the most successful is currently languishing in a prison cell having sacrificed destroyed and squandered it ALL ! Doesn’t it all but confirm the closer you stay to your core roots the more successful you will be ! Shabba is a DON in the TRUEST sense of the word ~ not the frivolous sense that is commonly thrown around.

This was a very refreshing, invigorating, nostalgic interview. I too am, and always was a huge fan of the "great Shabbat Ranking" aka " Emperor Ground". My daughter sent me the link for me to watch. She knows how much I talk about how real authentic " Dancehall" music was and how much I loved it. Seeing Shabba himself talk about those days and the dedication and passion it took to even establish yourself as an artist set him above the rest made me feel humanly connected to the vibe he was on. As for today's music, I sway mostly towards Rasta reggae music. The tree still dehya, but it needs fresh water. Nuff respect to the 1 and only Emperor Ground.
