Only one word for Shabar. Incompetent. Sorry to say he may be a good auditor or successful CEO of a charter accountant firm. But he proved totally incompetent for the job he accepted. He did not know ground realities of Pakistan. He was like an inspector from Scotland yard posted in rural Punjab and trying to deal how he was dealing British criminals.

The management of the economy is the main task of the government of the day. Governments have to take difficult decisions and sell them to the voting public. Opposition groups in every democracy criticise the choices made by the incumbent governments and put forward their own plans. I keep hearing about an accord between the government and the opposition groups on the economy in Pakistan which is unheard of anywhere else in the world. This is a nonsensical Idea bandied about by feeble and I'll inform pundits like Iftikhar Ahmed.
