I actually just finished the Grisha trilogy (Shadow and Bone etc) and I'm on Six of Crows currently, and after seeing the teaser I'm pretty hopeful re: the show, despite the changes they're making to the timeline by blending the Grisha trilogy and Six of Crows duology for the adaptation. Plus Leigh Bardugo is involved as an executive producer and with casting decisions, which is always a plus. I've thoroughly enjoyed everything of hers I've read and yeah, I recommend adding her stuff to your to-read list if you haven't already.
I really appreciate when authors are on board as producers. They know the story better than anyone and they know what to cut/add/change. I’m thinking I might read the series after I watch the show (blasphemous, I know) just because there’s sooo many other books I wanna read too lol.
Actually the books six of crows are set after the events of shadow and bone series as a whole so this kind of crows content is prequel which is now where In books but Netflix decided to adapt Both at same time which we will see how they does bcoz it should relate
@@r1ddhima yeah I’m also excited to see how ppl react without reading books bcoz i have noticed that coherence will be missed if u have read books bcoz u will be like there was that one scene which they missed
Based on the titles of the episodes the six of crow characters won't be heavily featured in the first season. However, Leigh Bardugo said she cried when she saw Amita's (Inej) casting tape because she is a living representation of how she imagined Inej. All the other cast said when the read the books now they imagine Amita because she perfectly embodies her. That make me really excited to she her in the show even if she's not going to get a ton of screen time. Also, 50% into EotW :)
Omg thats awesome! Hopefully she’ll get more screen time in later seasons. Ahhh I hope you’re enjoying it. I love the adventure of the first book so much
@@r1ddhima actually the showrunner said the SoC characters will be featured in 50% of the show!! they’re just not shown much in the trailer bc the content is too spoilery but we’ll get plenty of our queen Inej :D
I'm in the same boat as you, I haven't read this series but in very interested. I liked Ninth House a lot so I feel like I can trust Bardugo to have made something at the very least interesting. Costumes are SO important for fantasy shows. It's a place where LOTR and GoT excelled and where shows like Cursed failed. Great work Ridd 🙂
Inej is basically the female lead of the six of crows books, she's awesome and a really cool character. The only thing is that the show is creating extra material for the crows, set before the start of the books. So in interviews the cast and the author have basically said that any details to do with the six of crows part of the show are really spoilery, so even though a large part of the show will focus on the crows, they're only able to be in a tiny part of the trailer, so as not to give away to much info on the new content. Can't wait until we actually get that content in April!!
I haven’t read this trilogy but this reaction def made me want to check it out! I really liked the outside perspective and how you can pick up on different things than if you had context 🙌🏾
@@r1ddhima - Practice makes perfect. If you start out this good, what will it be like by the time the Wheel of Time trailers are dropped. Platinum performance, indeed.
nooo don't jinx it by saying wot won't come out until next year, i'm still holding out hope for an august/september release ;( also YES in this house we stan INEJ!!
@@r1ddhima yep, I can definitely tell 🙂🙂 you should read the books. All of the audiobooks are on RU-vid. The Shadow and Bone series isn't as good as Six of Crows but you should still read it first in order to understand things better. Also, the Darkling is my favorite character in the entire series. He is the reason The Grisha Trilogy has such a special place in my ❤ Inej is a close second thought 😍😍😍
