God this looks so great. I loved Desperados 3 and Shadow Tactics, it's so nice you can keep making satisfying tactics puzzle games, but also get to put so much imagination and personality into all the detail and animation and abilities. The comical FWUMP sound from putting an enemy into Gaëlle's cannon is just perfect, thank you so much for that

I'm so glad Mimimi Studios keeps the legacy of stealth strategy games that Commandos and the original Desperados brought. I absolute adore Shadow Tactics and Desperados III, and I honestly _can't wait_ for Shadow Gambit. I love the aesthetics and character designs and spicing the gameplay with magic seems really interesting. Looking forward to it!
You don't know how excited this announcement has me, I got Desperados 3 at a discount and it was one of the best strategy games I've ever played, and I've never tried the genre before. Now, Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew is one of my most anticipated games of this year.

If you liked Desperados III, well the ones A B listed are good options, you could also try 'Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun', and 'Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun - Aiko's Choice', both made by Mimimi. Also, 'War Mongrels' is quite good, or 'Partisans 1941'.
Well I started out with Commandos BEL, and BCD. For anyone that really loves this genre, I'd certainly recommend checking out the entire Commandos series (BEL, BCD, 2, and 3), as well as the others mentioned. Those older games can all be purchased on GOG for those that want a nice easy install, last time I checked mine still work perfectly on Win10, not tested on win11 yet but I assume GOG will update them at some point.
The fact that you can *plonk* enemies inside a cannon and shoot them wheverer you want made me 10 times more interested in buying the game. Looks very promising!
So pumped. I got Shadow Tactics for free on Epic years ago and loved it. I ended up buying other copies and gifting them to some friends to spread this awesome and hidden game. Desperados 3 was an instant buy and was amazing. Basically anything Mimimi does is perfection. The changes to this sound super cool, more open in design. Can't wait, just wishlisted =)
That cannon is probably my favorite ability shown. It also looks like there's a fishing rod character, and I can only hope I get to reel enemies. I'm pretty excited for this since it looks like the magic allows for some fun abilities like teleportation.

great trailer. Its especially cool how these characters are quite different and all feel a bit "OP" also the magic in the stealth game makes this really feel unique to the things before. Its a pleasure seeing you do these things and I am glad you are successfull with it!
I feel like magic is a good fit for most video games. Unless you're going for a hardcore simulation like Arma you're going to have things that don't make real world sense. Like in Shadow Tactics how you could see the entire map and know exactly where the enemy was looking. I like that Mimimi is explaining some of the mechanics in the universe as due to pirate magic.
DON'T EVER STOP DEVELOPING GAMES IN THIS GENRE! .... I can't emphasize that enough. Please Mimimi. I don't know why but since Shadow Tactics, its hard to find other games that suits me (even in the same genre). Once this one come out, its absolutely instant buy! Can't wait to play this heavenly gorgeous game! After that, I'm sure its already on your plan to do expansion like Aiko's Choice, or a sequel? Heck I can play any stealth strategy games coming from you guys!
I just finished all achievments for Desperados 3 and now I'm looking foward for this one. Also I still have hope of a new Shadow Tactics because I love the Edo theme.
This looks so good! Very nice to have 8 different characters to mix things up. Glad you keep the genre alive like the way you do. Please make very difficult missions like the mansion mission in Desperados 3. The hardest missions are the best imo. Keep up the insamely good work!

Day one for me. I actually had no idea this genre was so sparse. I sincerely thought there were a lot of games like Desperados/Commando's, but I was wrong and just found out you guys did Shadow Tactics so I grabbed it - Superb maps, having a blast! - as I'd finished Desperados 3 with a mate and adored it. Both very addictive yet easy to play in short sessions too. But Dev's, you've really nailed it with this crew of reprobates! This looks extremely fun with a brilliant setting. Knowing I'll get to play this after Shadow has really cheered me up.
So damn excited for this new Mimimi game, and it seems you are really bringing out your big guns for this project with so many custom and ease-of-use features! Stealth Strategy all the way!
This is the most awaited game for me. I played D3 & Shadow Tactics in PC, PS4, PS5 and still love it. Was waiting for your next game and today after watching the gameplay trailer all I can say it was worth the wait. Now waiting for the release date and preorder. ❤❤❤

I am still playing Desperados3, finishing challenges and getting badges. I love games where I can play a mission for couple of hours. Level design is amazing in this one 🤩 Thank you for amazing games.
i love the way you revive this genre, Commandos, old desperados and Robin Hood were some of my favorite games. I have a suggestion and i know it will be quite hard to implement in this game, but maybe new enemy type? The gameplay is fun but i feel like this genre doesnt have enough enemy types to look out for
Awesome ! As a lover of pirate universe AND stealth game this is perfect ! Even if i usually prefer "realistic" worlds for those games you're so talented and full of good ideas i'm sure it will be as good if not even better than your previous games ! Love you guys for keeping the genre alive.
The ship plays an important role as your Hub and home, but there will be no naval combat or controlling the ship directly. But there is other interesting stuff to do there. :)

Something I managed to catch is that each mission, while they're on the same island, will still have different unit placements and maybe some different box placements (Things that'll turn green sight into lined sight, and thus able to hide behind) The first spot is at 0:42 - The objects around look the same and the majority of the buildings and landmarks line up. This might just be a different spot, but I highly doubt such great devs would just copy paste an area. Units don't exactly line up to the transition as well as some of the boxes. Some got removed or shifted slightly. The second spot starts at 1:38 - You can mostly tell how the area fits together, having the tree tower nearby the fortress. On the overhead passby though, the unit guarding the gate is different, slightly in placement but more so as a different unit (Of past game, what would be seen as Strawhat/Poncho to Guard/Gunman/Gunwoman) This is great to know that players can't exactly speed run each mission and will still have players take time aside from waiting for guards to look away
