I agree with everything you said. I don't care anymore. I just top left if I got hard counter lead and switch. There were so many times I lost because the screen was frozen (frame skip?), I couldn't get a charge move off.

I relate to the "dont care about your battles" thing so much. The matchmaking algorithm is very aggressive at balancing you in favorable matchups or negative matchups. if you actually keep a note on the teams you face, you'll see that for every 5 positive matchups you get, youll get 5 negatives. it will run this cycle whether you win, lose, surrender, quit, it doesn't care. it'll make you face the same player twice before it breaks its matchup algoritm. So know that winning 50/50 of the time is coming down to you not making a mistake and then swapping over to them not making a mistake.

At this point, Niantic ain't even hiding the fact GBL is busted beyond belief! Algorithm be on straight demon times these days! And with the new meta shift, sink cost fallacy comes to mind. Not caring about the battles is key, or you'll lose your mind. I'm basically here for the stardust at this point. The craziest part is people are STILL defending the system in 2024. Algorithm nightmares, frame drops by the dozen, no see 6 pick 3, people force crashing your app when they're about to lose on your last charge move, the list goes on.
