If you enjoy their instrumentals, but not the vocals, they do have instrumentals of every song they've ever done. For a more light song the great schism is great, it's much more light, not so dark.

As far as lyrical content goes, this song is about the war in Ukraine, modern warfare in general and what the innocent people stuck in war have to go through. This is what the vocalist and song writer, Ben Duerr said about this song (an excerpt): "I wrote this song as an anthem for the people of Ukraine stuck under the boot of corruption and both western and eastern war mongering. Any outside power bringing war to another doorstep should be strongly condemned by all, this includes our own wars as a nation..."

no, it's about WW2. The album came out more than a month before Russia's invasion, so no way it would be about the current one. Ben himself has stated in a video he did with Kardavox that the album is about WW2, and one of the songs (maybe this one?) is about the holodomor, a famine in Ukraine during WW2.

@@thomasmann4536 Damn, I swear I've heard somewhere that this song was about the war in Ukraine, but I'm probably remembering wrong. I do remember that one of the songs is about Stalingrad so you're probably right. My bad.

You liked Lorna Shore and Will Ramos when he did this "type" of vocals you claim to not like. Ben Duerr is actually much better than Will too. Pretty weird how you like one but not the other. Is it because you like Will's looks or something? You smiled the whole reaction thru so thats my guess.

Personally I think the guy looks and acts gay, will Ramos I mean. Yeah they're fucking cheese I wouldn't say I hate Lorna Shore but I definitely don't listen to them on any kind of basis. I agree Ben Duerr and shadows of intent are way better than Lorna Shore

This song is about a war that happened in Ukraine. Almost the entire album is about it. Ben duerr is the vocalist and an amazing songwriter

This album is vastly different from their earlier 3 albums and imo the weakest, their new single however went back to the sound of older 3 albums. But still they're my favourite band and love to see people listening to them :3 Their name comes from Halo videogame, it's the name of one of the ships and 2 first albums are all Halo themed.

Are you usually someone only into deathcore, or do you like more straight death, too, just not this album? Well, you like it (I guess?) but not as much. I actually really wasn't wowed by it in the beginning, but over time it has given me some of my favorites, namely blood in the sands of time, especially after seeing it live, is truly amazing. The blast part in the end is nuts live.

@@KytexEdits I like deathcore a lot, my favourite genre but I do listen a lot of tech death, brutal/slamming dm aswell as some black metal and other genres mainly pop and edm.

I've not quite decided if I prefer Primordial or Reclaimer, but its definitely between those two. I hardly ever listen to melancholy or elegy anymore even though they are decent as well. My favourite song from them is probably either The Didact's Will or The Tartarus Impalement, the storytelling is just something else.

its kinda funny seeing this reaction from maddy being all torn up by Bens antics in the video when he is a very quiet, introverted person when not involved with his music. as others already commented, this album features human tragedies, war and how essentially we never change. albums before and also the band name were about and come from the video game series HALO, so no need for holy water. except for maybe malediction, some songs there were a little more sinister I guess. really great band, Ben has a great voice for this style and is also a pretty good lyricist (I think even he studied history at some point or at least has a big interest in that as well).

@@Hooper-q3t no way you actually believe that this song was just an "incomprehensible wall of sound". I've been listening to this type of music for quite some time now and, maybe it's just me, but I can understand most of the lyrics.
