I’ve never once in my life had the passion or determination to commit to something so ferociously as artists do. Hearing stories of someone being homeless for a decade and then fall on luck, as well as several other variables, and instantly being transported into their dream life is so foreign to me. I joined the military bc I knew I’d basically be babysat all my life. Maybe I’m just lazy, but the idea of being so unwavering in a passion is difficult to fathom.
Saw them live with Cannibal Corpse, Whitechapel, and Revocation. Sounded exactly like the album! Drummer was playing with a smile on his face for the whole 30 minute set. Great group of guys
I had the same experience. Saw them last month and Bryce was absolutely grinning for the whole set. We met him after the show too and he was the nicest guy ever
This is one of the most laid back, comfortable interviews that I've had the pleasure of watching. All of the guys seem super down to earth, and just generally relatable. 10/10
This podcast needs to be bigger!!! I love it. And tbh we needed a podcast like this for us metal heads. It's rare to see bands like this out there. You'll probably see little clips of them but not like this!!! Thanks for putting up this type of platform!
First time listening to this podcast. Great to hear the "whole" band tell their stories. Literally found these guys in the comment section of a Lorna Shore music video. 😁🤘
Speaking of first timers, I brought my girlfriend and her 2 friends, who all only listen to top 40s, to see Inferi, Shadow of intent, and Signs of the Swarm at the Webster right before the pandemic. They were a little stiff at first, but soon enough they were moshing, crowd surfing etc. All said it was the most fun concert they've ever been to so thank you SOI for that memory.
Hands down best open discussion/exploratory podcast within the music industry. Backtracking through all episodes now but Garza is coming into his flow and shows how comfortable he is in his world. Great interviews and guests man keep it coming! I would love to see the big bros from Koяn on in the future 🤘🏼
I appreciate that man. I still have a lot to learn but it’s been going good. Korn is in the near future. Maybe sooner than I think haha. Much love brother! -GaЯza
This was one of the most entertaining episodes of a podcast I've watched. These 4 guys all shooting the shit with each other really gives that brotherly bond like Bryce was talking about. Hilarious the whole way through!
So dope seeing you my boy with one of my favorite bands on your podcast! Corona love 🤘🏼 I'm so surprised to hear Chris, Bryce and Andrew say they're huge fans of A7X
The CC on my phone said " Cattle Decaf " when Ben was talking about Travis Ryan. It killed me. I just started watching this podcast a month ago and its already one of my favorites! 👍
Hey Chris I saw you walk into the regent ordering some food but I was too nervous to say what's up and didnt want to bug. Just wanted say I appreciate the music and the podcast man.🤘🏽
They were hella baked in the end, they fuckin crack me up. This is probably the best metal podcast on youtube. I hate podcasts that's film isolated with webcams so keep bringing in bands to the studio. May i suggest Despised Icon or a band from the OG era of deathcore. Would love to see a perspective on the scene from people who basically blew it up.
I would like you to invite some grindcore bands like The HIRS Collective, Lotus Eater Machine, Vermin Womb, Full of Hell, Frontierer, Pig Destroyer. When you read their lyrics they actually have a lot to tell. It's usually real life stuff they deal with in their songs
Love seeing SOI getting their praise, I remember the few times we hung out, being at currents video shoot at the webster, playing shows with Ben’s old band, etc. Now they’re one of the biggest bands on the planet. Big props
Yes, their new thing Euclid is really sick too, it’s crazy that just like SOI, all the guys he was in IDAT with were just as good. I actually played in a band with Ben’s replacement, Jake, before he joined IDAT
@@alanmorales618 so sick! Well since you are a San Antonio homie, check out my project "prithee cessation" on all music platforms. U won't regret it 🤘🏻🤘🏻
I'm a bit confused about the music industry. A lot of bands say they don't make a penny even touring 24/7 en then I hear Bryce saying he's making money playing drums, not with Katy Perry or Miley Cyrus but with The faceless and SOI?
This group of dudes are amazing song writers. All around, one of the best in the biz. Cool group of guys as well. If you don't know, check out Lizard Professor the drummers previous band.
I love you 🖤 please don't feel bad. I truly do love have conversations with you guys!! There's just some days or times when we're exhausted and need some alone time. I truly appreciate you 🥹
I wouldn't really say Ben is the typical shy introvert, he just doesn't waste any time if he has nothing to say about a certain topic but if he is spoken to he has no issues conversating with people. There's plenty of time's where he chimes in during this podcast if he has something to say, he was quieter in the beginning of the show because he seems like the type that unwinds after getting comfortable (from the mid point on he talks alot)...I've also seen him chop it up with plenty of fan's at show's. If you want to see a real introvert then you should check out Dan Watson. That dude has legit anxiety and doesn't speak at all. I talked to him one time at a show and you could tell that it wasn't the type of setting that he was very comfortable in.
@@Remmy0930 I'm Facebook friends with Dan and he has a lot of pics on his account where he scribbles out or hides his face. He hasn't in a while, but they're there.
