The game just push the PS2 to its very limits. The game's creator could've make it as PS3's launch title and exclusive to show off the console's technical prowess. Also I like how faithful the remake is and Bluepoint made it closest to the original, something that other devs should take note of. IMO remakes should be just visual changes, built on new and capable engine and adding what was planned but dropped in the original due to technological limitations even improved gameplay mechanics with little to no changes in the content and story.
The Last Guardian was supposed to be a PS3 game, but its developement had many issues, then it came out as a PS4 game in 2016. But originally it was as you said
the jump from the PS3 generation to PS4 is so insane graphically. What's funny is the original PS4 hardware barely holds up in todays standards. PS4 hardware today is a fairly low end.
those aren't PS3 graphics, it is the ps2 grapchis with upgraded resolution and frame rate, that's why it feels so hard when you go to PS4, those are Remakes, not remasters like PS3

@@bluthebluewolf9886 Bro, it runs at 15fps or 30fps, in my opinion, if you play it using a console and using a TV, there's no difference, unless you play it on a PC, the new fps is very important. Fps on consoles is different from fps on PC

Meanwhile, PCs are not just intended for playing games, but can be used for editing, rendering, etc., so they are definitely different.
@bluthebluewolf9886 shut up, on Ps2 era's, no one cared about FPS, you're nutella Also, like, literally, i played on Ps2, Xbox 360 and Xone, and now I'm playing on Pc, but i still use my Ps2, and i have literally no Issue with FPS or graphics, if you care about graphics and FPS, sure the remake is better for you, but don't say X person is smoking cause he prefers playing on Ps2, the best Videogame in the world, the most selled, and the one that made Playstation be big like now.
The PS2 version has that melancholy, ancient vibe, sad mood to it but the resolution is too old for nowadays TV. PS3 version was perfect I think, its like an upgraded version of it. While PS4, PS4 Pro and PS5 version was amazingly good in 2020s I believe, but in my opinion, it lacks the mood and vibes of the original especially to the colours. Its like watching Lord of the Rings but with Marvel movies colour styles, it still look amazing and mind-blowing-good but the vibe feels a bit less accurate. I don't know how to explain it right lol but yeah, mad respect to the team behind all this version. Love them so much.
the og has a more grey brown hue while the remake is more green and blue. The more detail section shows that off with the colors. The bloom was also really blinding in OG. Look at 4:30 to 5:00 minutes shows it well which i think adds to its character. Reminds me of Nier or Demon Souls, which also lost that blinding light when Bluepoint remade it.

no comments this game is incredible it brings you a different feeling from the others and a little melancholy but it is very good to feel the feelings that the soundtrack provides when playing for me the best version is the ps2 version even though it is limited and has a drop in frames and what I play more and the game doesn't do anything ugly, including the landscapes, mountains and rocks, everything is so beautiful and the lighting doesn't even need to be said, amazing game, perfect, it still runs on the ps2
I like the atmosphere and ambient that present in the Original, it has it's own kind of charm that was totally ignored in the remake, still, gameplaywise it's the prefect remake.

I noticed the PS5 version is brighter than the PS4 versions. It could be that it’s automatically applying HDR to the game. You could see if this resolves by toggling that setting!
@@mayboy128 I have a 4k/60hz TV and Ps5, but in ps5 settings my TV does not support VRR and HDR (grayed out). But it does play ps5 4k games up to 60fps . I thought those option of for people who play Ps5s beyond 60 fps like they do on Spider-Man .

@@Pepe-jq6fjthis. The remake is pretty for sure and I don’t hate it, but Bluepoint definitely didn’t exactly understand the atmosphere of the original. Forests are my favorite example. In the original they were gray and misty and very eerie looking. Like it was a lifeless forest. In the Remake, the forests are very green and lifelike. Definitely beautiful, but it just looks like a normal forest, and not the same lifeless eerie vibe that the original presented.
I swear the ps2 is such a mixed bag for me who was born in the ps3 era, i played sh2 and i thought that was the average ps2 game where i gotta deep scan my screen to see anything more than 10 metres from james face, and then i played dbz bt3 and thought thats pretty good for 2007, and then i see this, i thought this was a ps4 title since i hadnt heard of it and now i questioning how this is even possible, you can see further in that than you can in the latest versions of minecraft

@@ThorStoneGaming Your right the game did not get a 4k/60 patch like many other games got . I bet that ps4 pro does not lock 60fps tight like the Ps5 does . 155 ps4 games have gotten the free 4k/60 patch for ps5 like Mass Effect, Horizon Zero Dawn and Witcher 3 .
But they are. The only difference between PS4 and PS4 Pro is that the Pro version uses checkerboarding for higher resolution. PS5 runs the PS4 Pro version.
