Here's a timeline for each Colossus. Apologies for there being a tiny bit of the right hand side cut off for bosses #3 #4, had to re render this video and forgot to correct the frame adjustment. The saddest part about killing the colossai is the fact that they're just minding their own majestic creature business and not bothering anyone. And here we are slaughtering them cause we're too much of a simp to accept our girlfriend is dead.
@@abrahamearnesth9872yup, dormin promised to you that if you kill them all it would revive the girl. And it did, but you ended up retrieving all the pieces of dormin and basically got a devil inside you. In the end? Yeah, all to revive his girl cuz she was deemed cursed or something.
Well logic in this situation wouldn’t have been fair since otherwise use of logic on the development side would just get you killed without being given a chance.
Colussus has pair of arms. They can use arms as melee, sometimes. It'll break their back because of their arms are massively weigh thousands due to hands being big. Shaking it off would slow player down preventing from hitting their weakness. Till it doesn't work, having strong grip is better
These massive colossals need their body to protect with some stones. It's disadvantage for the colossals. Forcing them to shake their body and still died to simple human with better skills. MALUS is the massive titan that can't walk but also shaped arm representing 95% Of human.
I remember, long time ago, I thought to myself "Why doesn't Argus clinch his fist and crush the wanderer" years later watching this I'm thinking 'wtf why isn't Argus clinching his fist?" You know what Malus does before the fight begins? Clinches his freaking fist!
Yeah i never understood why barba doesnt just stroke his beard to get you off it. Or why any collossus with hands doesnt just flick you. I mean, its game balance. It wouldnt be fair nor fun for them to just pluck you away but its still really goofy how they dont
@@Malcolmparker-l8nEasy? He is probably one of the most annoying if you are unlucky. However, I agree that he is the best fight in the game. Everything about it is perfect.

Avion was so much fun I didn't want to kill it. Loved falling off it and enticing it to fly down again so I could hitch a ride. Masterpiece of a Boss fight in every way.
Most impressive run. I was really impressed with the shortcut jump at 1:36:28... I never knew that was possible... now you have given me hope to do Hard Time Attack! Thank You!
The original still holds up pretty well. This is a GREAT remake though, I’ll give them credit, I just think Ico should have been the game to get this treatment. It didn’t sell well though. Haha.
50:26 - y' know, a lot of fans have been criticizing about this guy being scared of fire, i mean, hey, sometimes bosses might don't want to risk hurting that said thing, besides their armor and their power- every boss have to have a downgrade, not a lot of people get that. - however I do feel bad for the poor colossi- especially
It's whole purpose was to protect the fire that's why it fears it. It would never do something that extinguishes the flames. And colossi are not very smart in this game
Hello I am currently fighting Dirge so here are all the times I died and how: 1: At the very beginning I fell off some stairs and died. 2: I accidentally left my game running overnight and was smashed by Barba. 3: Kuromori's death mist killed me. 4: Basaran's STUPID MISSILES!!! 5: Dirge gave me a heart attack and ate me.
"There I've killed all the colossi" Spirits: "What? You weren't meant to kill them, you were meant to get their blessing! How can they bring the girl back to life if they're dead? Look at your skin, its black! That's not normal!"
My version of boss names: #1: Weaksauce cave-lad #2: Big, yet so very simple #3: A lad so tall they’re incapable of aiming correctly #4: Brainless spike-horse #5: British Airlines #6: #1 with a big ol beard #7: That swim teacher who just doesn’t care and leaves you to swim about freely #8: The big lobster that could #9: Tf2 Sniper funny rage moments compilation #10: Dear god those eyes. Those eyes. #11: Ram ram ram ram ram ram ram ram ram ram ram #12: Crash BandiTOOTH, Mind Over Mutant #13: Benny Worm #14: The floor is (Cenobia) lava #15: Trying to solve dumb a puzzle while avoiding death #16: A Colossus got stuck in a wedding cake
Hydrus has always terrified me. Hate large sea creatures. The idea of being in a deep body of water completely out of your element while something giant is swimming below you is terrifying. Hated fighting him as a kid. Subnautica is a game I’ll never be able to play because of it too, every time i try to play i instantly get scared and say fuck this.
Love that neat trick on coloss 16 where you jump straight for the breast instead doing that stupid hand-jump plus bow thing. Gonna try this on time attack. 16 is my last Time attack. He`s the second worst after Colossus 3 because those jump in opposite direction jumps are terrible.
I think the first Colosus was my favorite battle. Theres something about how it seemed so fierce but was actually harmless. It really made me question the morality of killing it to save someone else who was also a victim of sensless violence.
Praey of the Gods v1.0 is out, and I can't really help but to come back to this one. Absolutely gorgeous games, both of them. But you can't deny that SotC really set the standards for atmospheric, utterly astounding big giant slaying games for the future. Played this for around 50ish hours on my childhood. Damn. I guess you can really tell whether a game is ahead of its' time by your play hours on the first, non-remastered iteration of the game.
Considering this was originally a PS2, I feel many people overlooked it cuz it was choppy, sometimes laggy, wonky control feel, shitty camara angles at times. It's an amazing game no matter what, but the remaster really did it justice in all its glory. It's one of my most favorite games of all time.
@@mudah844 ye at first i thought it was dumb, turns out it was the main characters (Wander) Girlfriend and dormin lied to him saying they are evil beasts
@@moncalimarimoncalimari8964 first time I fought him my grip ran out right when he flipped, but somehow I managed to land on his back perfectly as he ended the flip. Felt so good.
So, I did some research... and I've discovered that every person has a Guardian Colossus (meaning that besides the 16 in-game, there are a total of around 7 BILLION unique Colossus), which they become once they die; mine is Avion, the Raven Colossus.
@@onwardsumo5189 Well, it has to do with your personality, who you are deep down, as your personality links you to one Colossus over the other's; like me, I'm dark and often almost ruthless when provoked, which ties into Avion's difficulty, since his battle takes place in the air, and his dark aura, as Ravens are said to be the Spirits of The Night.
I couldnt beat hydrus at first, not because of the puzzle but because of fear. For such a long time my biggest fear was sea creatures, especially ones that can cause harm. However eventually I owned up to it and I no longer have that fear thanks to shadow of the colossus
I like how you assemble, record, and cut this (without commentary). Awesome job. If I wanted to hear someone talk while playing a game, I'd talk to the wife.
@@lozt290 it's not but it's annoying if you don't understand what to do lol. I tried using the weapon to climb him like the dude in the video but my controller kept drifting and I couldn't climb him in time and when I tried to do it again, he angled his weapon differently so I couldn't climb up the same way again. I didn't know you had to use those circle things to break his armor at first either even though I knew it had to be broken
How messed up does this sound. Wander is killing innocent monsters under the orders of an evil entity he doesn't even know who talks to him in his head just to bring his dead loved one back from the dead. How messed up is that?
@@manontheside0 I've played a bunch of games on PS2 back in the day when they first came out before they got remastered or extra DLC so I just stopped playing for a while after I beat it like bullying Shadows of the Colossus exedra
