This is a remix that has definitely been a long time coming. I've wanted to do Shadow of the Colossus for ages and I'm glad I waited this long to do it. And with the remake coming out it just felt like the perfect time. A lot of you have wanted me to remix this either because you wanted me to do it or you drew parallels from the soundtrack in my own original works and remixes. The soundtrack has been a large inspiration to me over the years, and the game is a classic that I look forward to enjoying again in its new remade glory in the near future. I hope this is a remix worthy of the music it came from! I'll be working on The Iron Oath now so any new content will probably be just the monthly songs for a little while, but I hope to do another remix sooner than later! Thanks everyone ^_^

These are the songs I arranged in the order they appear in: 0:00 Silence 0:44 The Opened Way 2:40 Gate Watcher of the Castle Ruins 4:20 The End of the Battle 5:40 Swift Horse 7:30 Revived Power 8:26 Prologue ~To the Ancient Land~ There were a few songs I would have loved to use but ultimately they wouldn't have worked as well for this arrangement. If I ever did another SotC remix I would build the arrangement out of those particular songs but I'm happy with what I got to cover. Thanks for listening everyone!

I remember when this game was released, I saw an add online for it, my wife bought it for me for Christmas in 05, She made me open it up and play it Christmas eve. I still love playing this! the music then was so amazing, and still is. Thank you for this!

My God.... I've always loved your work Alex, but this...completely outstanding. I had literal goosebumps with the Opened Way and couldn't stopped smiling when hearing Swift Horse. That's probably my favorite work of yours. Thank you for composing this. Btw, I would love to hear a "Counterattack" or "demise of the ritual" version of yours. I love it. You managed to capture the sense of calm and beauty of the quieter pieces, as well as the overwhelming awe and frantic panic of the fighting tracks! All without losing your own style and becoming just a cloned version of them. When listening to this, you know this is that epic experience, but you also know that this is good ol' Alex narrating it through the music. I specially liked Revived Power and the prologue sneaking at the end, relieving the tension and leaving us with the sensation that this endind isn't the end. Or at least that's what it made me feel

I don't know why I don't try to apply for more things, that's something I'm working on this year. Sometimes the thought of composing in the industry is daunting because you have to know the business and there's more to it than just writing music...I'm basically just self taught and work from my own computer. There are composers who learn all this stuff through proper music courses from colleges and universities, and who also study under people with industry experience. I feel like they will all probably have an edge over me. But it's no excuse to deter, I'm never one to be stop because something seemed difficult.

Alex Roe I totally understand that. Been a visual artist for years, a mentor of mine in the industry has been pushing me to go pro as a concept artist. I get worried the pressure will stomp the passion too. I wish you luck though, you're a talented individual and those are always in high demand.

Yeah I would also worry the pressure would ruin the passion, but I'd hope years of experience would be able to take it. If you think industry is where you wanna be, totally go for it! I sometimes don't know what my dream position would be but really I just want to be happy doing what I do and hopefully getting to be a part of projects I care about.

+Alex Roe I've been trying to get into the film industry as a director myself, and I know I would definitely try to get you for some of my films, since I think more movies need musical talent like yours as most movies nowadays barely try and have such lifeless music and you could really make a movie better just with your music alone! And I would help you out with making the task feel less daunting and foreign, since I think you wouldn't need to do much different since your style works so well already and you seem to be able to make music fairly quickly.
