the verdigris set dropped by Moore (depending on how you progressed the quests) is better in every stat compared to the bull goat set, despite it weighing 1kg less - the poise is maxed at 100 though, which I’m assuming is why there isn’t any heavier sets. I think the pesky upgrade items are for players to use freely on all the new weapons and ashes, I didn’t mind it as it let me save my runes great video man, the mix of soft spoken and whispers is really nice 👍

The difficulty thing honestly just comes down to time. People struggle because these games takes more than two playthroughs to get comfortable at. Reviewers have 60-90 hrs to play the game and put out their review, and it's sort of standard to commit to a build for a review video. They're basically doing light challenge runs with restrictions but then put out a video about how hard they struggled. Players who are also struggling because they just haven't played enough feel affirmed by those opinions, and there's a feedback loop around release. But, go eight months later and most reviewers backtrack on their first impressions: general game knowledge gets more widespread, common tactics for bosses get known, build diversity and adaptability become more standard, engagement with more mechanics comes into play, and guides become much better at demonstrating and explaining things. So by a year after release, the overall skill level of the player base is much higher, and the opinions on difficulty soften a lot. It's still a case of "git gud", but a big part of what's overlooked in getting good, is just how much of that is influenced by the community working together.

i love this video helped me sleep thank u, one thing that bothered me was your criticism about the loot, how you play is totally fine but you chose to not engage with the mechanics they added therefore you cant engage with most of the items. its like doing a level 1 playthrough and complaining that most enemies only drop runes :p
