PSA: you can put a blessing of marika in your inventory use mimic tear and your mimic has one free full health restore per fight now. Never actually need to use it yourself
Man I clicked on your video cause you were covering what I was looking for. Then I realised I recognised your voice, low and behold I realised the name. Rage freaking gaming videos. Man I used to watch your mine craft challenges with fans back in 2012 whilst I was at uni. Dammit the feels
I found it naturally by accidentally giving Jolan an Iris of Grace because I thought that was the "good option", expecting the sword, then I explored the Shaman village looking for secrets post-game and found the hidden room in the tower. I'm glad I found it since Jolan was said to be troubled by the loss of her sister, so it's nice they're reunited in the spirit ash summon; so it turned out the Iris of grace was the good option in the end!
@@Nottim554 I just figured you get it at the end of the quest with her armor cause I saw people walking around with it, only realizing it was actually a choice after it gave me her spirit ash summon and being confused.
@@robkiller205 Im glad I watched this I had already found the puppet beforehand and after getting teh first ash never crossed my mind they were connected
From where you combine the two ashes, if you drop slightly farther down there is a bell bearing. It lets you purchase Rabbath's greatbolt. Not sure if anything else
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but if you have already upgraded the Jolan ashes before joining them, the upgrade you had on the Jolan ash carries over to the Jolan and Anna ash
@diesel_tech_three4332 I'm regretting getting the sword cos of the dialogue she gave after I gave her the Black iris. Is it possible to get her summons in new game plus if I do the Ymir quest?
Even if your not gonna use the summons. Its good to go to the puppet and drop below it for the bell bearing that sells magic greatbolts. Only way to get them in the game.
Not sure about this one, I have a mimic with about 80 some poise and a fully upgraded bloodfiend arm and it was eating up Consort Radhan health bar like crazy. lv 172 Mimic is as good as your build
@@lonelypancake5979I've been stuck on him for 2 days. Ng+4. I don't think it would be bad if I didn't have to summon ansbach and thollier to complete their quest lines because they're giving him so much more 😆
IMO, i think Mimic is the best when we using full melee build. My Mimic tear literally carrying me the whole game, till now the only boss at SOTE which i need to die is only Messmeir. ( Well its my first play and i am on lv 200+ tho 😂)
@@andhikapriambodo6459 I shit you not same. Mimic and bolt of Gransax (butchered that spelling) carried me HARD in SOTE. after beating Consort Radhan I kinda just sat there evaluating my life choices. Then went for a drink
Actually, if you upgrade Jolan on her own, the upgrade carries over to the new ash. For example, if you already have a +10 Jolan, your new Jolan and Anna duo will already be +10. No worries about wasting glovewort friends
I got the sword, too, but now that i see upgraded spirits. I dont think they'll last w final boss. So ill keep the sword and do ng+8 for the sisters and dragon priestess
Place an iron skin potion in your inventory, specifically the last slot. Your mimic will use it almost immediately and will become tankier and harder to stagger out of them casting their spells/ashes.
Don’t use this it’s so bad. Use ancient dragon knight Kristoff ashes or mimic tear I wasted a grave ghost glove wort on jolan duo and it died in 2 seconds to Messmer
@@invictuous9222How many of the dlc spirit upgrades do you have? I forget what they're called, but the ones you use at grave sites. They make a big difference.
I saw this vid mins after completing that quest and only got the option of getting the sword and I wasn't aware of the spirit summon now I have to do 3 playthrough
summon then at night, i just might, deprived of light, to be swordhands of night, theyll cause a fright, and put up a fight, pants might be tight but no problem with sight
Don't lv 10 Jolan. People have reported a bug where the damage if you fuse +10 Jolan with Anna not working properly. Wait to lv 10 Jolan until after they fuse.
@@slowmobius2136 Also rememeber it's different for everyone. Sometime the summons goes down fast and sometimes it makes it till the end. I take it you have it at level 10?
Part of the problem with a game as big as ER is that when you are playing blind you tend to see something, partially complete quests, forget the thing you saw before even when it was pretty obvious there was a path, etc. Even forgetting to always rest or travel to and from a spot to see if anything changed after an event like the one leading to the summons is easily missed. That's why I always have one throw away character that just messes everything up, but tries everything out that I can think of and if I'm having a smart day I make screenshots, videos, and notes...
I got all the way to the Jolan Ashe without spoilers or guides but I had no idea where to find Annas Ashe. I saw the tower from the top of the Shamans Village but thought nothing of it, except cool how it all is built.
Yeah if for non-mage builds or any kind of ranged build mimic is the best. But I think either Lhutel or Jolan and Anna are the best for Mages and Ranged fighters
Another PSA.... If you level Jolan up to +10 first, then add Anna, the Jolan plus Anna combo summon will also be +10. I didn't know about the combo option until after I got Jolan, and I leveled her to plus 10. When I put Anna in after, she was already leveled up.
I got taylew last night and he completely tanked the scadutree avatar the whole fight and only lost 10% health. These 2 are ok but they die quickly by comparison dung eater is still better. Taylew doesn’t do a lot of damage but he tanks everything
You can make your mimic solo for you any boss and not die .. there is an ash of war you can use it in the hammar give him HP 30% every time he us it and with DF armor he cant die ... but this 2 is cool and new thing to try thnak you
Honest to god, Dung eater is better then Tiche. He's got a helluva debuff he can use and is also a tank. I know some people use Tiche for her agility and health debuff but i just find her inreliable a lot of the time. Especially in higher new games. The debuff she uses is something very easily accessable via the player from two weapons and an incantation so... And he is also better then these two dorks Lol.
i use an uplifting aromatic in my inventory, both use it and if i am close to them imget the buff as well, its just incredibly helpfull for certain bosses
did all of this and they both got 1 shotted by the first boss after upgrading to 10. so what am i missing they seem absolutely terrible? is there something i need to do to have them get the DLC bonus'?
They are pretty squishy for me too. However, they shred bosses if you maintain agro. I almost killed Messmer on my first attempt, but Hornset died so I died on purpose... Next attempt I died before phases 2 even started😂😂😂 Funny how that works.
Maaaaan. I just did this and I picked the sword cause why would I need anything other than Mimic Tear and the website I looked at ain't said nothing about all this other stuff. Shoulda' known there was more to it, I'd found Ann's puppet when I went to the Hinterlands.
Unfortunately it is bugged. On my first playthrough I only got the Jolan summon and upgrated her to +9. On my second playthrough I found anna and added her to the ash. So I got a Jolan and Anna +9 ash automatically, but their stats are like +0 stats. There would be no way to upgrade it to their full potential :/
4 npc hmmm againts radahn lets me try with shield buff, and thorn spell ...make it second phase... real duel on 1vs 1 save alot of potion .parfume of steel hmm npc quest done ... wish me luck 😂
Mimic tears will use what healing items you have, run them with the meat dumpling thing x3 and a blessing, they have 4 heals but they aren't TOO smart and will suck down food items randomly which sucks SO BAD during some of the fights *cough cough* (the final dlc boss.)
Yup, the best mimic builds have tanky armor and talismans, and at least one way to heal itself. I think the fact that #1 you lose 660 HP to cast mimic, and that the DLC bosses rush you as soon as you enter the fight, mimic should still be the best because it is risky to summon. The ole' risk vs reward.
Mimic tear is better in almost everywhere but there good at distracting and that’s it (actually tested it there just overall just bad in general compared to mimic)
You can get the sword and the ash in 1 play through. Just cloud save scum it. Get the sword and drop it to a friend. Reload your cloud save and continue with the ash, have your friend give you back the sword later.
I was curious If fromsoft was planning on making the cerulean tear completely useless but it seems they realize that the nerf was so horrible that it's completely useless so I assume they added this twin spirit ashes to give it at least one singular use after the nerf
Could have said that you couldnt choose both. By saying "this time around" I was led to believe that you could get both. Next time AT THE BEGININGOF THE VIDEO just leave the other choice out if it negates the whole topic of the video.
Please make a video about not burning the tree before completing both quest lines for the NPC companions. And immediately after that make a video about how to kill the final boss even though you burned the tree before completing both quest lines.
"they're just ping ponging aggro off of each other" bear immediately lunges at you 😂 I fuckin hate the aggro switches on these new bosses but it makes for some (fun?) moments
Do you guys realize that this guys build is actually a good build. Also every spirt ash except mimic tear got a HUGE buff. This is definitely better unless you have an over powered build.
Dont sleep on the mimic tear summon its still the best spirit summon in the game build it right with weapons and items it can use and morg rune and there it will be the most broken spirit there ever is
@@BLiTZnTWiCE it isnt bro stop your maybe just a low lvl new player in ng+11 these ashes get two shotted by everything they are ass mimic is the only good one at high lvls
@@zaruuchshekel5806 bro, I’m level 386 and been using them in the DLC and I did frenzy flame boss last night and they survived entire fight so not sure what you’re doing. They obviously don’t survive as long as Mimic or Black Knife but your 1 shot is way over exaggerated
@@BLiTZnTWiCE bro lvl doesnt mean shit in elden ring on ng+7 or higher the bosses get more life/damage less stagger and less status build up. You maybe lvl 500 until ur in ng+7 or higher you cant tell me these ashes are good because they aint. Im not the only player saying this mimic is the only good ash at a certain point.
Im pretty butthurt that the quest was designed such that when i did my playthrough with no guides, i didn't come back into the church prior to blowing the horn and fucked myself out of both the summon the weapon and the armor. Pretty annoying reward design to require you to decide to come back to the church before finishing the quest
i try a mimic combo and it handle to kill all bosses in the normal game easy alone mostly with nearly full health 2 of the greathammers that heal on hit one with the ashe that get the heal strike and one weapon with frost...so it do bleed frost and heals extremly with the dlc items that you can co,bine with that it is even stronger
Got the sword but tbh I really don't want to run through this dlc again which is a shame. I'm still on final boss killed him but it didn't count as I died just before it lol.
If you actually fight the bosses with your summon, black knife teach helps a bit more with the DOT. If you just stand back and let her fight sadly she wont last too long bro Depend how you use summons is how useful they are.
LONG COMMENT, TO ALL IT MAY CONCERN, FYI... Mimic is as good as you make it. Your gear will determine it's abilities to fight tenfold. ALSO, it will use anything equipped, so put on Erdtree Heal and Heal from Afar, and you can have a Mimic that will live, literally forever, in a fight (how to beat Radahn 101). If you are smart you will realize that Mimic will always be better fundamentally. This is an inaccurate representation of this entire "test" to these new summons. Go look at any showcase video of the spirit summons and you can see a clear difference in the stats of all of them, ESPECIALLY this duo here, EVEN at level 1, cause they don't test them in bosses, or against elite enemy types, or at full level... They HAD to make a spirit summon that rivals Tiche and Dung Eater, duuuhr, otherwise people would be mad that there isn't any 'new summon to use that's viable'. They wanted to appeal to the weebs with dark, edgy looking armor and wielding a dark katana and claws... Oh and they are girls with no lore, so that's another random plus they checked off the list. It doesn't help that these people wanna get their videos out as soon as possible so THEY are the ones that get the clicks and thanks for the 'help and knowledge' and then release videos that are misleading and false all around... It hasn't even been 2 weeks and you can go look right now on any website regarding tutorials and guides and NONE of them get the info right, let alone have the same directions on how or why to do something. Content creators are ruining this genre, and Elden ring attracted the worst kinds of people to a once thriving and soulful community... Yes the summon is good, no, not as good as Mimic, but sure it will kind of rival Tiche and Dung Eater (which have better passive effects than just dealing bleed damage, cause katanas and claws go brrrrrrrr). USE WHAT YOU WANT. Taylew, Horned Knight, and Queelign will be fun and effective too!!! Just stop kneeling down to these shit creators that can't get anything right and hope to be the first on this kind of shit. ITLL TAKE WEEKS BEFORE THESE PEOPLE GET THE INFO ON THIS NEW DLC CORRECT
What’s your spirit blessing at also if it doesn’t work I recommend the obvious black knife tiche because she’s overly broken and it don’t matter your blessing because her black blade slashed do percent damage
@@thehybrid2280 my blessing is maxed. but then again im playing in ng+1 so that might be why even my +10 summons were getting wrecked. i finally got jolan & anna to +10 and they are doing better.
Sooooo.... They can't get a rune bear to 50% health, a rune bear that my mimic can solo. I'm still going to get this to satisfy my inner completionist but I'm still gonna be rolling up on bosses just me and myself.
@ragegamingvideos So apparently the Hunter's Choice Theme results came out earlier today. After I realized this, I also realized I was rather surprised not to hear you talk on it. I'm guessing Elden Ring things took up your schedule, but we'll probably hear about that later this week?
Idk i just maxed them to 10 (7 Buff shards) and they are getting almost onehit bit radahn... i would say a swing of him is like 25% hp and he hits both. Something bugged?
