it’s for the 25th anniversary of the release of the first game. much of it is damage control (in my opinion) as many fans of classic lara are deeply unhappy with how crystal dynamics has handled & spoken about the core lara/games.

A lot of hard work and dedication went into this game and it paid off it was an amazing game, We just needed more games for the survivor trilogy I felt as if "it wasn't the end yet"

I really just want classic Lara to make a full return. It doesn't 100% matter if she looks like the original Lara, although I do prefer that. But as long as she's adventurous, intelligent, acrobatic, equipped with dual pistols, and a little bit of a selfish asshole (you know, someone with actual flaws) rather than this plain Jane heroine type, I'll be happy. Like I said, I agree. She needs to look like the classic character, but I see it as more important that she just behave like her. She was cool in the 90s. Now she's boring and whiney.

There won't be another game from the so-called reboot, they already explained all that, but they are making an animated series that will apparently follow up on shadow of the Tomb Raider and you can see the character they've been passing off as Lara cosplaying as Lara in it😄

for me the reboot series has different strengths visuals - shadow story - 2013 overall gameplay - rise but that’s just my opinion :)

Kinda disappointed that the supposed spec ops "Deacon Teams" were pretty much nothing but reskinned standard enemies. What they should've done is made the toughest enemies to a similar skill level as Lara Croft, which also use camo to their advantage. In general the combat felt lack cluster in this game and pretty much most of the skills are useless. I hope they improve all of that in the next game.

That's a great idea. And they could make it so that the aiming reticule doesn't turn red when aiming at a camouflaged enemy.

i truly believe the fans would’ve loved shadow so much more if they had ended the game with lara wielding her dual pistols. they set up the perfect moment too when lara comes out of the water during the oil refinery level. why the guy didn’t just have a pistol instead of rifle i will never know. shadows story was a bit strange but i really believe if the game had left lara closer to ‘classic’ lara, fans would’ve loved it waaaaayy more.

I agree. Combat scenes wasn't that well done in the game . The mechanics itself was ok and I did like different ways to take down the enemy but AI and combat sequence level design was pretty bad. Usually I could stay behind a cover and take enemy one by one when they run in a row to my cover. Deadly obsession actually made the combat interesting since you were more vulnerable but never the less, you could use the same tactics, lol.

The graphics are excellent in shadow of the Tomb Raider, too bad everything else is bad, I really regret preordering the Croft steel book edition, but I completed it including all the DLC because it did cost me $147.

I'm just glad they made it clear there's no more games coming for this "reboot", but fans of this lost tourist passed off as Lara can still see that character in the upcoming animated series.

I have a problem with Tomb Raider. When Lara stops moving (from running, jogging, and ESPECIALLY landing after jumping), she looks stiff. It's like when she stopped moving, that small animation where she reverts back to her original posture looks so clunky. Looks robotic. It's soo annoyingg. There's a bit of sway on her hands, but she returns in her default position in a very stiffed way. Also after her climbing from cliff then standing, she just... 'springs out' then stands like she didn't climb in long-stretch. Give her a variety animations for a short moment after different activities. If Last of Us 2 can do it, why can't you guys do it, too? Then I might enjoy your semi-open world section more.
