I just love how much emphasis Shadow puts into his Damn every time he says it, like him and the writers are like “That’s right guys! Shadow just said a bad word! Did ya hear that?! Did ya hear that?! Shadow just said a bad word! We’re so edgy”
@@mr.vorrnyvorrn2516 It was a pretty big deal to hear kid friendly characters like Sonic and Shadow say it. I think this is the only game where they do too.
For some reason the subtitles in this game always had Chaos Emerald numbers in all caps. "We found the THIRD Chaos Emerald here", "Find ALL SEVEN Chaos Emeralds", etc
Flippy from HTF I take it you never saw the shadow hedgehog commercials? They always ended with the phrase, "Is Shadow a hero or a villain? You decide."
Even more so because it comes out of nowhere, and this is how the level opens up. This is the first thing you see right after the loading screen, no buffer, no context

@@Sonicteenhedgehog lol Batman isn’t a “anti-hero” at all, he’s a pure good hero who wants to save people and him not taking lives is what makes him a hero. He doesn’t “resemble the Batman” at all as shadow is a anti-hero who does malice actions at times but anyway, I hope your not trying to diss the new Batman movie at all as that Movie was a MASTERPIECE of a film and easily the BEST Batman movie ever made with Robert Pattinson making the best Batman ever. I honestly do hope they get Pattinson to do shadows’s voice for the 3rd movie because he can do a shadow voice very well based on videos we’ve seen!
Say what you will about the writing in "Sonic Colors", but at least it made a genuine attempt to fit the tone of the franchise and have actual dialogue that the Sonic cast would actually say, whereas this game just tried so hard to be edgy that it ended up being embarrassingly childish.
@@supermariof0521 Colors wasn't accurate either. While StH had terrible edgy dialogue,Colors had terrible saturday-morning cartoon dialogue which doesn't fit Sonic (even 4kids Sonic X's dialogue was better)
They were already pushing the envelope with this game what with the swearing and use of guns as it was. If they pushed it any further, it would've suffered another rating increase.
Never thought I'd say this, but after playing through not even the first 3 levels of Sonic Generations, I was so mad and frustrated with finding all the Red Star Rings, that I literally said to myself "Where is that DAMN FIFTH RED STAR RING!", because of how hard was for me to find them lol
The delivery of this line is so perfect. The emotion behind it, the exaggerated "damn" to express the frustration of not being able to find that damn fourth chaos emerald. Truly inspiring

The joke isn’t that Shadow the Hedgehog said damn, it’s how much the voice actor puts the emphasis on the word ‘damn’. It’s even funnier that the subtitles put fourth in all caps but not damn.
As much as this line gets memed on, I'd probably say these exact words if I were exasperated looking for the fourth chaos emerald. Like...realistically how else would I word it? "Where's that darn fourth chaos emerald"? "Where's that ding dang fourth chaos emerald"? No, I'd say "where's that DAMN fourth chaos emerald".
