TBH looking at this just makes me appreciate how good StH feels to play, seriously I know StH is one of the many Sonic games that fell victim to the memes but play it sometime with just the goal ring levels the movement is seriously solid with the only criticism being that Shadow looses too much momentum when you jump and a few other missed opportunities to add in new movement options.
Let's not kid ourselves. As I've just finished another run through the game, and even compared it to the fangame P-06, it still leaves a lot to be desired with stiff controls, awful button mapping (B does basically a majority of actions/attacks), and generally a bad experience. P-06 goes a long way to fixing things, but there's only so much that can be fixed while still "remaining 06." I do enjoy the game, mind.

I don't know why they make games like we play them on the Sega Genesis, but whatever. I mostly did No projectile weapon runs, only picking up swords, and it's really fun. I guess maybe trying to shoot with most of the guns might feel weird or whatever, but I wouldn't really know. Once i figured out i could actually kill Black Bull faster without weapons, by slide jumping and homing attacking his face because it gives extra height, I found a new love in boss combat.
Top 3 sonic games for me with the GameCube: 1. Sonic Adventure 2/Battle 2. Shadow the Hedgehog 3. Sonic Riders I know Shadow gets a ton of heat, but I just loved the game in general despite its flaws and repetitiveness. Going Good or Evil, actually cussing which is hilarious and the idea using guns/weapons was a fun change of pace.
I really liked Shadow the Hedgehog as a kid. I still enjoy it to this day. I just ignore the criticism it gets. I loved the weapon idea, it was a fun change of pace as u said.
Do you really want another remake? I mean sonic games doesn't handle remakes that well. For example look at sadx, some how glitches that were not present in th dc version were found and also SCU

I know the Shadow the Hedgehog game wasn't for everyone. But I loved it personally. Yeah the way the stages are all divided out depending on the paths you take wasn't my thing, but the story was good, and the ability to use weapons was a nice change of pace.
I really hope this becomes a full game remake. This is exactly what is needed to remake shadow the hedgehog. Sonic 06 had the best character models whether heros, villians or ext. Please remake make this game i would totally buy this lol.
Tbh, i kinda enjoyed playing Shadow The Hedgehog even to this day through emulator. At first, the gameplay seems strange but after some time, you get used to it. StH feels good to play and despute critics in general and what you could see on the internet about it. My critic is that the game design can seem annoying or stupid depending on the objectives plus the fact of Shadow losing by moments momentum when jumping. There's been worse and this game could have been worse than this. There're lot of modding possibilities so we can say that every game copy is personalized.
Dang, a project like that could really kickass if it could become a thing sometime, and it would work as a huge fix/improvement to both 06 and ShadowTH massively.
Knuxfan24 has done great work porting some of the GameCube stages to Sonic 06. I wish I could try them out. But I'm fine playing the original games on my Wii. I guess I wouldn't mind seeing the GameCube Sonic games get an official remaster in the 06 and Generations styles. What if those stages were ported to P-06?🤔
I like playing it in short bursts, There are some stages that are really good and some that are pretty bad. Encore mode is a ton of fun. I actually like most of Shadow the Hedgehog besides the story. There's alot of characterization problems in the game and the story in general wasn't that interesting to me.
