There's a few budget ways to untap Shadowfax to attack again with the demon. A lot of instants that give Shadowfax a benefit as well. But really, the best thing is giving your creatures vigilance so they don't tap and can attack each combat. Loyal Unicorn is a budget include. And it's another horse like beast for the deck. I'm sure Shadowfax loves unicorns. That creature will give your creatures vigilance and prevent combat damage to them each of your combats as long as Shadowfax is also out
just in case you are wondering, yeap horses are some powerful animals, there is a reason Calvary was a thing in warfare for millennia, getting trample a fucking horse will kill the strongest of men.
They are commanders that want to do different things. You're gonna need some sort of explanation if you're going to tell me dropping black so I can play one of the weakest color combos, and adding 2cmc to my graveyard recursion Commander so I can cheat from hand instead, is strictly better.
Im building shadowfax as equipment voltron to cheat big things out. One card that seems insane is blackblade reforged. +1/+1 for each land you control! Assuming you have 5 lands when you play shadowfax thats 9 power and you can cheat out an avacyn angel of hope 😂 The endgame of the deck is cheating a blightsteel into play and ending someone outright but just winning theough commander damage is pretty possible at 12 power.
When you mentioned needing 8 power to cheat something out. 2 handed axe will double Shadowfax's attack on attack, so if you activate that before you summon your creature. Well then you have at least 8 power! 😅 how is an uncommon so good?. I mean ABSOLUTELY FITTING but still. It should have been at least a rare from how good it is. I guess it's own summoning cost is what makes up for it
