Greetings, and welcome to my medley cover of the horrific NES classic Shadowgate! This is hands down, THE creepiest game on the NES and it always manages to give me the chills. So no matter if it's a cold winter's day or a hot gazing summer afternoon, I always have to wear a sweater while playing this.
Although trying to maintain the general creepyness of the original soundtrack, I also wanted to bring a level of brutality and metality to the mix. I hope you'll enjoy, fine human!

This game has the best soundtrack of all nes games in my opinion. Maybe I'm just nostalgic, I remember playing the orignal shadow-gate in public school at recess on my gameboy. My friends marveled at how i would figure out how to actually progress in the game without dying. Little did they know I had access to the internet (which was new back then) and I went to gamefaqs and read a walk-through. This was 20 years ago.

I know this upload is very old by internet standards, but I'm just now discovering it. Played this with my mom when I was a very smol bean. Listening to this soundtrack brings back all the feelings of suspense, anxiety, and genuine fear just the music alone evoked, and the pure joy of spending time with mom. I miss her very much. Thank you for this epic cover.

This is so damn good guys. I don’t think I’ve ever heard an NES adaptation nail the FEELING I had as I played this game. It’s almost as if the composers had metal in mind when the made each one of these songs. Not even one seemed like a stretch. Thank you for making this.

My pleasure. Still to this day, I get the chills playing this game. FYI, I will do an updated version of this medley in the future that will include some missing themes and improve upon the ones already included. A Halloween 2023 release optimally, but let's see how it plays out.

Fuck YES! One of my all time favorite games, man, and such an amazing soundtrack. I always found it funny that one of the best soundtracks on the NES came from a game that originally had no music. I still can't figure how you don't have like 20 million subs. This is both badass music AND good film making.

You could almost pull it off, too. Once you have the game memorized you can beat it in about 16 minutes (depending on whether or not you're paying the slightly faster GameBoy Color version or not).

Epic! I played this game for a year trying to solve the puzzles. I know every songs and every scenes they are in. I know every section of that game by heart. I play from time to time, and I can beat the game in about 30 minutes now. Still, best summer I had in 1993.

I think the soundtrack for this game is one of the reasons for my love of metal. I knew these songs would sound amazing on a distorted guitar. I was just thinking about learning them and came across this medley/cover. Great job by the way :)
