This scene was so beautiful. You can clearly see how much they love each other without even saying a word. The development of their relationship is so beautiful. I love it.
Brittany Ramirez I very much agree. I think the song choice here was magical! And spot on! This song didn't over do it, or distract from the actual scene. But instead worked gorgeously with the over-all tone of what, I think, was being reflected within this scene. If anything the song itself seems to play a rather intricate part because of the way it seems to intensify the feelings we as viewers are experiencing while watching such a strong and truly touching scene.
The buildup of the song is also what made this scene so much more intense! This scene is great because they didn't have to kiss to show what kind of love they feel for eachother. Best romance scene I've seen in my life!! 😍 I love shadowhunters/CLACE ❤️❤️

At first I was thinking the same thing, that they should have kissed. But I rewatched it a couple times and slowly I came to realize, I think in this scene they are experiencing a connection that almost goes on a different level then just a kiss. Not that I don't think a kiss can be apart of such an experience, but well, one thought is maybe a kiss at that moment would take away from what they were trying to express in this scene in its entirety. Something not just purly physical but something thats physical, emotional, mental and just..... sooo much more! If you can try and understand what I mean. When watching closely you can see the suttle facual expressions and gestures from their body language that almost seems like they are letting down there guards and experiencing a connection between their souls. Where they, in a sense, come together to feel and experience the deepest depths of one another. All their hopes, fears, dreams, passions, emotions, beliefs, completely immersing themselves in thee other. Down to the very core of all the things that make each one of them who they really are. But thats not all. In this scene they also convey what I see as a natural feeling of being drawn towards one another. A feeling that they let go and give in too. Which we might think of as something that may cause feelings of vulnerability through that type of action, but they make it seem so naturel, like a peacefulness, almost as if they feel completely safe, at pure and true peace, comfortable and happy, dare I say, also loving and loved, all within this bonding experience. I saw relief, passion, peace, love, and an overwhelming sense of surrender in completely being submurged within each other. But it is also, I think, a welcomed, if not, a wanted and joyful feeling of surrender that is being given and taken, not just the one but being given and taken, both being very important, and powerful. Its truly a very extraordinary scene, and I may have let my mind carry me into a much more in depth place then what this scene truly was meant in actuality, but if I did, please for give me thats I guess just the way my mind works sometimes. I love being able to see all kinds of big things that ly within what some may see as a more simple or small thing. But, I digress. This scene truly is wonderous! This type of insanely intense kind of connection can be hard just to try to describe in words, or possibly even hard for some to actually wrap their minds around, that is given that they even believe such a deep bond does even exist, let alone just acting it out on camera because its part of the job for them as actors. I mean, wow! I say that in all honesty, WOW! And maybe I did take way more from it then what was actually intended, but at that, the fact that I was truly able to take away a feeling of such a deep and profound type of connection from this scene, just speaks volumes to the gifted and amazing talent the actors shared with the whole world while filming it.
And somethimg else I wanted to point out, is notice the transition from Jace's face reading as if he's trying to understand whats completely happening, straight to, realization and surrender, right into want, joy, relief, peace, etc... Having noticed all this though, what I previously said and what I just mentioned now, there is one question that seems to throw things way off track, into, I have no idea how it fits together, within the scene. Thats the question of Sebastian. While trying to track someone, I was assuming they'd have to have thoughts of or focus on the one they are trying to track. If I'm correct, then I have no idea how they could have the type of bonding experience I was talking about, all while having thoughts of Sebastian. Yeah, ummm.... so... ha. That last part jist kinda came to me as an afterthought, and I can't even imagine how it would be any kind of plausible to experience that type of connection, while thinking or trying to track anyone else, let alone Sebastian. Maybe I was alone thinking this way, but once the drew in towards each other, I felt like the scene was purly about just her and him. Thoughts of another person in that point in the scene were totally not even in the same realm. So yeah, nooo idea how actually tracking Sebastian would even sensibly make its way into this seen. Unless he was a after thought, one that just came to them and thats what caused the switch as you a darkening affect start to almost shadow its way back in, right before things lose all light and they seem to be popped out of, or jolted out of the connection, the bond, and then almost alertingly back into the world where more than just the two of them exist. That seems to be the only way I can even kinda see actually tracking Sebastian as apart of this scene. But it almost still seems as if that is what was happening, the tracking Sebastian part was still done in a round about way. Almost as if that part was just stumbled upon. If you can understand what I mean. For me, like I said, after a certain point, it still seems like, "wait, what? Tracking Sebastian was in that scene? Really? Ooookkk ttthheennnn." Lol!
Anja I thought it was a good deep connection that is unbreakable it was beautiful I have watched it over and over this show how they are connected and that they belong together. Together they are stronger and the love for each other is so precious and that her father is wrong love is the strongest than anything in the world it isn't his weaknesses its his streangth
This angelic bond that Jace and Clary have I believe is the most powerful angelic bond that goes beyond every kind of bond that exists. Its said that a parabatai bond is the kind of bond that no other bond can relate to. That its more powerful than any bond that exists. Honestly the bond that Jace and Clary have is far more powerful. I doubt that a parabatai can reach that kind of level of power. Let alone relate to that kind of bond. I've seen the kind of power and the kind of bond that a parabatai has and its nothing like the kind of power or bond that Jace and Clary have. The kind of angelic bond that Jace and Clary have is unlike any bond that I believe a parabatai couldn't possibly have. Its so much more powerful, stronger, more passionate, more intimate, a lot more trust, more open feelings and a much more powerful connection than a parabatai. Its not just the pure angel blood connection that Jace and Clary have that makes that bond so powerful. its everything that Jace and Clary have been through, everything they've experienced, everything they've had to endure. All the lies, the pain, the agony, the sorrows and the losses. All of it makes the bond that much more powerful. So when I saw Jace and Clary bond together it was as if nothing else in the world mattered but them and only them. Jace and Clary knew exactly what the other person was thinking, what the other person was feeling, what the other person was seeing and what the other person wanted. And how they truly feel for one another. They love each other so much. Even the love they have and feel for each other gives both Jace and Clary the very special and unique kind of power that makes there bond so much more powerful. All that being said this is truly without a doubt the most powerful angelic bond that I believe exists. That I believe could ever exist. Jace and Clary are truly without a doubt the most powerful and unique shadowhunters that exist. That have the most powerful and unique angelic bond.

this was just such an angelic and beautiful moment that reminds me so much of the books and the true angelic connection that clace share. Aaaagh it's just so beautful i cant stop watching it
I get what u guys r saying I found that moment beautiful and like they really r drawn together like Valentine said before. This just proves it I don't watch shadowhunters just for the romance but it is most definitely one reason. This moment got me thinking of everything that they must have been trying not to feel for along time. It just made the moment more precious.
I fell so happy and so sad because this scene is so indescribable amazing and it shows so much love between them without the need of words just ... love, but I also feel so sad because of the ending of the series they deserved so much more I know the show ended with a hopefull ending but still they deserved more then what that were given and so this scene makes me smile and cry at the same time
That was an amazing episode 18.Their connection of angel blood proofs that they are meant to be soulmates for life.In the first season, someone said that you know when you meet your soulmate it is for life.That's what happen for Clary +Jace,when they first saw each other.They both knew at first sight.
Barbara Smith no all there angel blood proves is fake love so if jace wasn't the guy who ended up being valentines experiment jace and clary wouldn't have this kind of connection she would end up with someone else there love is fake as fuck

It was while i was watching this scene that i realized how much of an angel the nephilim could be, their bodies glowing was really beatiful, and that corporal language acting everything was so damn perfect is my favorite scene of this show

I was surprised all the runes lit up but then I thought it was the Angel blood, the Angel bond they have and he had to hold her to track her blood for Jonathan.
two things i have noticed about this, one, jace has a bandaid on his finger and it is extremely amusing to me because i'm guessing it was something missed in editing because don't tell me jace is gonna use a damn bandaid.. two, I thought his eyes changed when he was using his angelic power, or whatever you want to call it? I think that would have looked awesome had it been part of this scene.
Okay, new theory, fuck me up. SPOLIERS: So if Simon drank Jace's blood, that means that Simon now has the blood of Ithuriel in his veins too. So when Simon's memories are removed by the greater demon when they're all in Edom and he becomes human then Shadowhunter, does that mean that he still keeps Ithuriel's blood? Does Simon get angelic powers as well? Or does he not really need to drink from the Mortal Cup because he has angel's blood already? I know the books went about it differently, but I hope they use that connection between Simon and Jace at some point in season 3, it'd be really cool to see if they do.
Nia Smalls I haven't really thought about it that way. When Magnus' father (the greater demon) took Simon's memories and his life as a daylighter, I'm guessing it erased his entire experience as a vampire. Hence, removing Ithuriel's blood from his system? But it also brings up the topic that if that was what happened, then wouldn't Clarice still be alive? Since now his time as a vampire is over and he technically killed her?
I didn't read the books, but I suspect that they'll use that Jace and Simon connection soon. It was never very well explained how Simon actually became a daylighter and that Simon drinking Jace's blood thing was never very much explored. I think the writers wouldn't forget that and are just saving it for later.
