I think it’s more like he doesn’t want to be a bother to other people. He was raised to act as a leader not necessarily to delegate responsibility but to shoulder the weight alone. It also feels like he doesn’t think very highly of himself so he doesn’t automatically think anyone would want to help or that they would be annoyed at him for asking. He didn’t ask Magnus for help because he felt he’d done too much of that already.
Magnus is such a loving boyfriend "Ah the Torture" he always knows just what to say to keep Alec sane and make him feel better! He's Amazing to Alec I love how he always takes care of his boy. Poor Alec he just so badly wants to be enough on his own, but we all need help in this world and Magnus will always be there for Alec no matter what Ah I can't with them they're so perfect. Also if this show is going tackle mental health challenges then I hope they do it justice.
