This video is more relaxing, just showing you around Shadowmoon Valley with a tranquil music. I've done the same with Frostfire Ridge (Horde zone): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PlrvbDfbrm8.html Now please excuse me, I have to do a gameplay video, there where people who waited this week for another video of this series and I failed them. *Info:* Turn CC / subtitles to see the names of the tracks. Would love to continue my work, but I need your help: please support my channel in any way you can. More details in the video description. Interested in WoW BfA news? It was so nice to see Shadowmoon Valley before it turned into a smoldering, fel-corrupted wasteland. The dark clouds and moon were very pretty. WoD may have been a disappointingly short and rushed expansion but its zones and music were beautiful, and is one aspect about WoW that never fails.
So if I understood correctly the WoD "plot", this was an alternate version of the Shadowmoon Valley, but not the one before the Outland. Right? It was possible that the Outland one bfore the fel-corruption to be way different. Regardless, this Shadowmoon is magnificent. I am comparing it to BfA zones (where a lot of attention was focused on the beauty of the world). Salutations! :)
@@Meisio It's an alternate version of Draenor in which the demons do not seize control because the orcs refuse to drink Mannorath's blood. So unless some other sort of weird environmentally-changing event happened that they don't mention, alternate Shadowmoon Valley and pre-outland Shadowmoon Valley probably look exactly the same.
People can hate all they want and most people hated Warlords of Draenor, but I for one liked the expansion. WoD was great if you liked playing alts. Was so easy to get from 90-100, especially after flying. You could grab the xp elixir from the Garrison combined with flying and heirlooms and just treasure chest your way all the way to 100. Then you could go directly to Ashran and gear up in no time while having a blast. I liked the Garrisons, which were fantastic for making gold. Plus I'm a solo player so being in a player housing by myself was great. Most of all though, a very good friend of mine who passed away late into WoD from liver cancer was living with me at the time WoD was current and we played through Draenor together. Whenever I go back to places out there, I recall my good friend and the fun we had. Somewhere in the snowy hills of Frostfire Ridge I see the spirit of my friend Walker still out there on his warlock killing ogres. Rest in peace my dear friend. So yeah, for me there are a lot of reasons I liked WoD. There wasn't a TON of content but what was there was absolutely phenomenal. I miss Draenor personally.
@@Meisio People come and go each day. We gotta get out there and live as much as we can. Travel and see the world. Stay away from the bad stuff. Enjoy the world and forget about hatred. Life is too short for hate.
The primary complaint of WoD was 'I wanted more of it' because it wasnt a fully finished expansion (Most o fthe content got cut to get Legion ready because they fell behind in development in MoP after a mass employ firing). The best complaint you can get is "more please!"
Thank you for sharing your comment. Across the internet, I too will enjoy this zone with memories of your friend that I did not meet. I promise I'm not a TOTAL wierdo and simply share empathy. ; ) I really like how WoW in general has the ability to allow me to "relive" and "re-feel" memories and experiences of the past. If I revisit something in WoW, I can sort of remember what was going on in my real life around that time. Also, I LOVED this expansion. I came BACK to WoW after this expansion had come and "gone" and I still very much enjoyed. I lingered on it and did it solo, staying way longer than needed, while I enjoyed the garrison experience. It was initially like, "WoW meets Clash of Clans" for me. I looked forward to logging in each day for daily harvesting and to anticipated building completions. I still revisit my garrison somewhat regularly as an easy place to bank, craft,etc.. Heck, I will continue to work on getting an auction house in there and I won't EVER have to go to Stormwind to be annoyed when the horde takes out the auctioneers. Cool stuff. : )
Oh man the music at 16:16 is absolutely incredible. Thank you Meisio for putting all of these together. I've just discovered them and they have made my work day so much better.
It is such a shame they didn't explore Draenor more. Lots of potential wasted. I felt like the devs didn't know what to do or lost track of goals during WoD starting with the Scrapping of the Faction Cities. (Dont get me started with Game systems like mythic) But the Art/Music-Team was on the spot with WoD and delivered an excellent version of Draenor/outland. Just imagine what else they could have come up with in this setting..
This is so beautfiul. Thank you. Perfect to play this when I establish the ambiance in my room and go to take a shower. What a wonderful, soothing thing to come back to.
16:15 Best part. When I was doing the Timewalking dungeons last week I came across this song again so I just had to find it, and I knew you had it uploaded somewhere.
From 12:59 to 13:08 in the Secluded Glade, it sounds like the beginning of "This Old Man," or for the younger people who grew up with Barney, "I Love You" which is the same melody for both children's songs. Any one else notice this? Was hard for me to miss since my children loved watching Barney as toddlers back in the early '90s!
4 yeats ago I've begun my trip to Draenor from that magnificent zone.and I completed all the quests in that zone by foot...Thank you Meisio for you work)
This is awesome. The Shimmering Moor and the Blademoon Bloom! They were my favourite places that I commented about in the last video :D Isn't Blademoon Bloom just spectacular! I'm looking forward to returning at max level so that my character take a relaxing stroll through the shrooms.
Initially, when I was commenting on the previous video, I was confusing Blademoon Bloom with Shimmering Moor. But I went back to film Shimmering Moor as well. They are equally beautiful :) Thank you for watching
Hey Tyler :) Yes, it seems they like my videos :) Hope many more will come. For now is business as usual... not an overwhelming number of views or subscribers. But I am happy to welcome each one of you on my channel. Thank you for being on my channel so often :)
Zone visuals, ambience and music in WoW is amazing! Such a shame all this work goes to waste. I`d love to play a version of a game where players have to do something meaningful in the open world.
Thank you for watching / listening. Indeed, the zone is superb. I have a special connection with the zone. This is the first zone my son (7 years old now) liked to play in Wow. I was so proud :-)
Incredible work you do Meisio. Especially capturing my garrison, of the millions of garrisons out there you film mine;) And Blook is caught on camera being the slacker that he is.
JeanP Lasnier is they didn’t scrap the Shattrath raid planned for WoD it would’ve been x100000 times better. And the Ogre island to piece together Highmaul more. Still, I love the expansion regardless of its failures but it would’ve been really great to see what would’ve been. If I was a Blizz dev I’d be working on the side with my own time to bring these old pieces of cut content back into the game as extra flavor for people to enjoy.
Michael Beleut Griffiths even the garrison was awesome, the problem was the lack of content that kept us doing nothing in the garrison. People complain about the garrison, but it was a nice place where even today when you go there you feel at home
I was wondering: How do you achieve these slow camera movements in your videos? Is it simply using "RP walking" while mounted on a flying mount? It often looks even slower than that. Thanks for your great videos, by the way! They make my work days a lot more bearable. :-)
I played WOTLK, CATA and Pandaria... then stopped and played BFA for a bit.... I got to 120 from 90.... never played this zone or this expansion but it's nice to see what was.
Story mode, definitely! As far as I'm concerned, panoramic shots do not give the rendition we as players are used to since we are mostly on the ground when doing quests - but a mix of both is great also, showing panoramas once in a while. I assume players like NPCs because they are the one that dwell in these zones I think a "tranquil" version of each video is a good idea, maybe just cutting out segments that involve "not homework friendly" soundtracks
Interesting _insight,_ thank you. I'll like to make the tranquil versions easier to produce, since the Story Mode version is hardcore (2-3 days of filming, for Shadowmoon Valley I've filmed 3 hours of footage, approximately 90 GB file size). Still thinking of how I can do it... Easier to produce, but I won't sacrifice the quality in any case.
Have you seen the moon's light? :) I understand what you are saying, but don't take anything too serious in WoW, in a world where you can open parallel universes and has many other crazy ideas. Salutations! :)
WOD had so much potential, but only the art, music, and raid teams did any actual work. So we ended up with an "expansion" that was cut short less than half of the way through, while paying more money for it. Yay. It was literally a scam. I didn't permanently boycott Blizzard (yet) over this, but it put them on thin ice to the point where it was just one more major screwup for them to be done. "Don't you guys have phones" was that screwup. The intact Draenor had SO MUCH POTENTIAL and they just threw it away so they could make Facebook games for zero effort and expect people to pay $15/month to play them.
