Best drummer in the world. Nobody even close to him. Hes another level. The way he moves over the kit, how hard he hits, technique, everything. He’s an absolute monster. You should watch guardians of earth. That is a masterpiece. Going to see sepultura in November. Can’t wait!!!!!
@@robertbaker3620 Estepario is a good guy... and a good drummer... only this! Eloy is a MASTER! he is 2 times the winner of moddern drummer festival... eloy plays many shows with de left leg only.... and for shure u dont now that! dont compare with anyone or u will be wrong!
Gar Samuelson will probably always be my favourite drummer because of the Jazz fusion groove he and Poland brought to early Megadeth, but now I've found out about and started watching some of Eloys performances, im gonna have to start saying 2 names when asked about favourites 😄, noone hits the drummers harder without compromising precision and technicality, probably the best metal drummer out there Right now!! 🤘🤘
Hey shady Jeff is there anyway I could get you in a interview im wanting to dive deep into the making of Hollywood undead and ask more about how the band originally started. Thanks
Lars has always played all of his drum parts on the records. The only song where there was significant splicing was Dyers Eve. But even on that song he played all the sections himself. Just didn’t do it all in one run he did it in sections lol
that's a false rumor that lars does not play the drums on his albums lol you don't become that big by fluke, and lars popularized double base back then ,you must be another megadeth fan
Alot of people are in their prime when younger, like Lars. I get what you meant by what you said in the intro, but I mean, put todays lars next to an amateur musician drummer and I think people get surprised. Hes older now, and if you put him on camera giving 100% today I can guarantee he's not a "bad" drummer by any means. Bad means worse than "meh" which is what any rando with a sense of rythm from the street would probably serve on the kit. Contextualize his greatest playing with him being in his prime when written. Dont mean to like overly defend my man Lars but it just came off like he's dragging the back down/holding all the ol' grandpas back in Metallica, which I think is untrue. Metallica was literally the biggest metal band for years and years holding that torch, Lars atleast is 60 next year Im impressed he still plays at all, esp. after having "tasted the sun" so to speak, and "winning at life" overall. them back now, I think it's cool to sit back after all that, and enjoy life not trying to prove yourself every song like he probably did with the younger flames/drive/motivation we all have. Pardon my ramblings, I enjoyed the video alot still, and comparing anyone to Eloy is honestly gonna look one-sided, he's so insanely good, just not that mainstream/famous due to his genre of choice.
I may or may not have had it on fairly good aurhority that Lars was a nightmare to record with since the 90's, so I assume it wasn't better before that. Haven't heard a single thing they have done since Load/Reload got blasted on MTV. Maybe "Whisky In The Jar?" I think that okay. It didn't suck.
Metallica as a band has regressed over time. After the fire accident James completely botched his voice. Lars did great on And Justice For All but he couldn't even do all the drumming on that album, it actually took them decades to play Dyers Eve live and he completely butchered it. Edit: Yep you nailed it lol. Multiple credits were given to other drummers on Metallica albums. Since you brought up Brazilian bands, shout out to Angra and RIP Andre Matos.
Love Eloy but Lars did it before eloy was born and the way it sounded then was pretty cool too 😊when u compared it with other bands back then. And i am a Big Sepulthra fan and never really dig Metallica
