SRK’s character in Darr has been elevated so much because Yash Chopra wanted to show it to everyone who rejected that role.of course SRK made full use of the unique chance to do an author backed role, that too against the then no.1 star Sunny Deol. Very rare opportunity. No ALister would agree to do Sunny’s role in the hind sight, not even SRK himself.
