Joint $1.25 billion project between the Jaguars and the city of Jacksonville, with each side contributing $625 million. Khan is very happy the taxpayers are paying half of the cost to renovate t Jaguar Stadium.

That money belongs to the state doesn't it? The money paid to it by taxpayers. So the state can use it however it sees fit.

This is the usual model most teams and cities use when deciding stadium builds. It's an ecosystem that has to coexist. We are, however, seeing a rise in self funded capital to build, improve, or move stadiums.

As an american who is an avid ⚽️ fan, I got into the sport because it's not the American system. ⚽️ is grassroots, whereas American sports are top down and more entertainment than sport. The English EPL already feels the American influence. I love the German Bundesliga because the clubs are membership owned.

I'll add that Shahid Khan also backs All Elite Wrestling, the combat sports promotion, valued at $2 billion by Forbes. In about a decade, Khan has grown his acquisition costs on all his sports assets from around $1 billion to $7 billion. Quite impressive, given he came to the US with his first job paying $1.20/hr.

6:43 Update yourself Bloomberg, this is the old Real Madrid stadium, they rebuilt the Santiago Bernabue and now it has got a completely new look. As it had a removable pitch so you can use it for holding concerts, events and other matches like basketball and baseball. This was the model Shahid Khan was talking about

Guy is a multi billionaire and still tries to milk jacksonville to pay for his stadium and pracitse field upgrades. Whilst local infrastructure crumbles. Its all about money and making himself richer.

So basically he wants to use the EPL to expand the reach of that American sport. He needs to realise that most of the world is not interested in American football. He also needs to get out of Fulham, his ideas are not wanted in England.

l like that they share revenues equally among all teams in nfl and it's the same idea behind super league because smaller teams suffer alot with their finances.

Real Madrid gave you the UCL and it is the Real Madrid which has the interest of European Football in mind and they'll give you the new European League. We can't leave football for corrupt oligarchs and monarchs to leave.

98% of videos you find on youtube about sports and business are so informative and professional, and you end up feeling like you learned something. Coming from bloomberg, you expect better content, but this video just felt like a massive waste of time.

2:55: please never refer to a football club as a “franchise” ever again. They are not franchises, never have been & never will be. They are football clubs at the heart of their community not a pop up shop that follows wherever the latest demand is. I like your content but the choice of wording here is very insulting & degrading to the values & purpose that British football clubs are founded on.
