The reason we have all this confusion ,is because the nigerian judiciary is still stuck in 18th century...how come judgement are not accesible online.if it were,all this confusion woukd be wiped out
Barr. Andrew Emwanta is truly a constitutional lawyer and has very deep knowledge about his profession. I spoke with my lawyer on this matter, and his position is the same as the one put forth by Barr. Emwanta. I know Don Pedro very well. He has never been to court all his life, I doubt his knowledge on legal matters. It is a very big shame for someone who called himself a lawyer to publicly say a given judgment by a competent court is JANKARA JUDGMENT. It shows how low his thinking process is and how bad the judgment has affected their planned business.
Una school na upside down. In a democracy, the governor or the deputy governor can be impeached if found wanting by the house of assembly. The only body that can reinstate Shaibu is the house of assembly, & not corrupt judiciary

If I may ask, with due respect, Sir. In what parameters are the Nigeria politicians being recruited into office? What are the rules, regulations, qualifications and ethical requirements for the recruitment process across all the political parties? Is it a loose ends process for anyone to be recruited and entrusted with public funds and administration? No wonder the country has been hijacked by miscreants, thieves, crooks, criminals and lookers of public funds for the past twenty-five years of democratic governance in Nigeria. Can we Nigerians get things right in an appropriate environment?

The current state of democratic practice in Edo State is most unfortunate. It is disheartening to watch the steady and continued disintegration and denigration of our democratic institutions under the current leadership in the State. Equally disturbing is the treatment of court judgment. Scrupulous compliance with court judgment is an essential component of democratic governance and rule of law. It’s disingenuous for the Edo State Executive to continue with an appointee deputy governor even after a valid court judgment against that position. Rule of law and democratic practice is a key metric in assessing the investment potentials of an environment. If Edo State is to be considered as investment destination, the actions of the current executive should be condemned. Public confidence in our democratic institutions is better served when rule of law is upheld.
