arab tribalism is still alive!/ the arabs of saudi belong to their granfathers abu sufyan!/ he fought the holy prophet a.s. 20 years, before his defeat! these arabian tribes have not forgotten the defeat and humilation of their granfathers abu sufyan , abu jahl., and abu lahab, at the hands of the holy prophet a.s,! the celebration of maulid reminds them of the greatness of the holy prophet a.s. and the elimination of the ''vain glory of arabs of jahiliyyah''!!
Why does hamza associate islam with Arab nationalism. Islam doesn't accept any celebration other than the two eids. You can't justify celebrating the birthday of the prophet by linking Arab nationalism to Islam.
Then whats the problem if we fast on mawlid out of gratitude and meet to recite the Quran as we fast to commemorate the day Musa as was saved from pharoah This is the reasoning behind the fatwas of Imam Suyuti and Imam Ibn Hajr Asqalani declaring mawlid permitted. There are also other evidences

As for fasting if he did it or tell us then do it. If He didn't do it or tell us then leave it. You can dilute the deen but some of us won't. Goodbye
