These are two Must-Visit restaurants in Bohol. Shaka and Mist. Both are instagramable photogenic restaurants for the trendy and savvy traveler.
Shaka is a famous organic restaurant in the Philippines with just a handful of locations. And there's one in the Alona Beach area at Bohol. It serves amazing food, both savory and sweet. We absolutely loved the Nachos Grande which has jackfruit mixed in, and both salsa and guacamole as you like. Some signature dishes include the Bob Dia 2.0 which is an açai bowl with amazing mango fruit art. Definitely try their many smoothie bowls. There are a lot of foods as well. We went with the Pinkakes, which is a pink pancake. It is a vanilla pancake with fruit syrup and fruits. The Bliss Cups and Homemade Sodas are also very fancy and look absolutely amazing. Shaka takes its time with presentation. Every food item is instagramable and photogenic.
Mist is perhaps the most famous restaurant on Bohol. Right from the start, you will be awed by this amazing treehouse restaurant. The best time to come is during twilight. That way, you get photo shots of Mist during the daylight and during night time when it is lit up, not to mention the multi colors of the sunset sky. In addition, you will beat the night crowd, where waits can get up to 30 minutes or more. Inside, the waitress guides you to your seat. Every seat is different, from swing seats to couch seats, to sitting in a bird cage setting. The interior is just stunning. There are three stories. You can even come down on a slide instead of walking the stairs. The food presentation is gorgeous. I recommend choosing a fancy drink. The smoothies or cocktails are a work of art.
