This performance of "Night Birds" is probably the best of all time. Tempo of play, sound quality - perfect performance. I am so proud that this concert had been held in Japan, Tokyo "Nakano Sunplaza" and truly hope this film (Twilight Sensation) can be released again with Blu-ray format. 各国で"Night Birds"の演奏を見ましたが、この中野サンプラザのperformanceはその中でも最高のものです。以前LDで発売されていましたが、是非Blu-reyでの再発売を熱望します。
An amazing LIFE performers band where ever one can be seen. They sound “better life” than in Studio. I am bias (play bass for years) and my ear tunes up to the rhythm section; George Anderson JR is ahead of its time with his slap technics. I had loved this song for decades and I am glad the modern Jazz radio apps keep playing it.
🇫🇷 à ce moment là on était vraiment des oiseaux de nuits Preque 40 ans l'été arrive.... Et on recommence. Que de bons souvenirs. Une vie . Ces musiques là ont traversé le temps.
I came across this song while studying and listening to a mix of old school music and it sounded familiar, but yet had never heard it. Had to find where this gem came from.
Would not be surprised if this was the band that would later influence Sega’s Arcade titles with that unique Jazz / Funk sound, that they would go on to use throughout most of their 80’s hits, most notably ‘Outrun’. 😎
@@2xmachine "Some 35 years ago, Imanuel Marcus ran into Roger Odell at a Shakatak gig in Stuttgart. They discussed Japanese Jazz-Funk ("Mint Jams" by Casiopea) and other great sounds." They were definitely influenced by Casiopea, and v/v. ha
I am still amazed at how great the audio quality of this youtube video is considering the footage is from 1984. Also one day "Night Birds" will get the same level of praise as Mariya Takeuchi's "Plastic Love".
70s and 80s footage are all analog mix. For that reason sounds more naturally. And remember in that time all sound people staff are really professional and real !
