I love this piece of music and the role of the flute! I tried to identify & get it through Soundhound, but it's not in their library, so I looked online & was thrilled to find it👏. To my imagination & interpretation, it sounds like the composition is telling a story, starting with a question that concludes with the notes rising in the scale & ending as a question mark, after which the melody answers the question by separating the notes into "words" with brief rests. The flute acts as the voice(s) floating on top of & "speaking" the notes (which I love). Of course, I have prior knowledge of the song's context as a theme song for S & H, although it seems quite clear to me that it was intended as I describe☺️. Only Ms. Wasserman can confirm or deny.
I love this theme music! It is sort of Elizabethan and fits in well with the quirky buildings seen at the beginning of the show. I have this music stuck in my head!
When I heard this music from the programme which I watched for the first time last week, I had to rack my grey matter as to where I had heard it before, or at least something very simular. It's the wake up call played in your cabin on the overnight ferry, Portsmouth to St Malo on Brittany Ferries. Sailing over this week so going to definitely check it out.
We absolutely love this show and hope it will continue. Each actor on the show is my favorite.l cant choose one l like more.Like we say....its a fav for my family.Thank you
Yeah it is kind of similar but I too love this theme, really appropriate for the series and super catchy; often find myself whistling it :O) Glad it has been renewed for a second series.
