Never did this before. Watched video three times and still couldn't get the reel to actually spin the line onto the reel. You never mentioned the ring thing that you click back. Figured it out myself. Why not mention this crucial bit?
What did I miss? At 2:10 Casey speaks about the line coming off in the direction that "we talked about earlier". Earlier when, and what direction? Clockwise? Counter-clockwise?
I assume the spool of line was lying flat on the table so coming in similar way to way wound on reel could of shown that as sure some people have wound line on with spool spinning on a shaft ie spool spinning vertically which would incur more twists
What does "...come back and clip your tag in/end" mean? Is it anything along the lines of cut off the extra line? And there was no earlier mention of which way the spool is supposed to unwind.
You skipped a bit at the first stage . You showed how to tie the slip knot but did not show how the line is supposed to look when you close the bale ? When I start to spool the line it gets twisted around the reel and bale .
Anyone who is new to fishing, skip this video and find another one. You will waste a lot of time if you miss one of the things he leaves out. I twisted my line putting it on my rod because he didn't mention anything about it.
