LOL Because the Dude is a true RocknRoll star - and a gentleman. Those 2 ding dongs look idiotic - and quite rude as well. That is NOT what you say when someone obviously misses their Mom who has passed on. Complete lack of class - look like a couple robots who have no clue who they're talking to. And this is from the States! We love him here! The DJs always got requests for "You Drive Me Crazy" back in the 80s. He was playing in every bar I worked in - as well as went to. That's a lotta bars! Glad to see you still rock Shaky!

He is clearly frail and struggling to remember things. Entirely understandable at his age or indeed for anyone at least 50. Sadly, it happens. He has released a lot of incredible music and deserves more credit than he has ever received. Me and my wife saw him live about a decade ago- he was excellent and had plenty of energy. The criticism of Naga Munchetty is a disgrace because most of it is driven by racism. But the response to his comment about his mother, which is heartfelt, was abysmal. Charlie Stayt's questions are a typical British combination of inanity and not saying what you mean. The subtext of people being snooty about Shakin' Stevens is that people thought his music was rubbish. It would be rude to say this, of course, but snooty was a proxy for it. No wonder you never know where you are with the English. I am English but cannot stand the place.
