My father made a computer desk for Shaky back in the late 80's when he lived with his family near Woking UK. He also made the front door to Shaky's house as well. No it was not green! I was 16 at the time and met Shakey when I went with my Father to help him do measuring up. I'm 53 now! My father passed in 2000 aged 76. Still miss you Dad!

This brought back some incredible memories from 1983 because I saw Shaky at the Glasgow Appollo. What a showman, the ticket cost £5. But worth every penny.

Dziś mam 42 lata, Shakin ma 73, czas leci nieubłagalnie, ale te jego białe buty , zawsze też lubiłem. Muzyka lat 80 tych jest najlepsza moim zdaniem. Haven't heard this for years. Still a great song to hear. My late brother used to watch Shaky, Marty Wilde etc at Cambersands Rock & Roll conventions in 80s. Him & his mates used to say they were fantastic live.
2024 and still can't stop listening. Am 46 years old as of this day so it would be accurate to say i have been a Shaky fan my entire life. I went to a gig a few a years ago to tick something off my bucket list and was singing along to Muddy Waters. The man in front of me asked how i knew the song, I said 'from the album!' Later when doing one of his older tunes and i was singing along, the same man asked me how i knew that song too, I said from the album lol. Shaky's tines sre older than me. They've aged better too As s kid, when asked what i wanted for christmas, my answer until the age of 15 in 1993 was was alway Shakin Stevens LP!' 😊 I got proper smarty pants about my fandom and asked for a Michael Barrett LP for christmas one year and scratched the hell out of my head trying to figure out why i got a Michael Bolton LP instead lol.

my dad grew up on 51 marcross road, ely. just down the street from where shakin stevens lived. he told me that he can remember him stepping out of a limo dressed as elvis, from when he was an impersonator. not far down the road lived ryan giggs also. i now live not far from where tom jones grew up in treforrest, and my father has met him also, when he returned to treforist. and it was broadcasted on television . to me, the story of him living by shaking stevens is one of the coolest things my father has ever told me.
