TRIBUTE TO MELANIE HÖLD
This last Valentine's Day, our dear courageous, talented, loving and beautiful sister Melanie Höld, from Germany, passed away. Melanie (or Mella to her friends) trained to be a Shakti Dance Teacher in 2019 and was with us in August 2019, as we filmed the Shakti Dance Promo video at Giulia di Gallese Agriturismo, while also filming herself to complete an evocative short documentary about the Shakti Dance Teacher Training Program.
Here, I have put together some of the material I still have from the raw footage filmed by Johannes Felsch, in which she gives an interview about her experience with Shakti Dance and her life's journey.
Sadly her remittance from Cancer was not to last, but she continued to walk her path through this devastating challenge with courage, grace, dignity and great love! Her inner light, authenticity and radiant smile ever remained bright!
As she passed, on 14th February, Melanie was surrounded by close family and friends, holding her warmly as she crossed the threshold between worlds.
