Seems like one of the keys to the greatness of Shak is that stance man its brilliant: as he is like perfectly balanced and able to pivot front foot to backfoot or visavera at will!! That is one of the skills many fighters overlook, but it is all in the footwork, and most arent aware that all punching power comes from having a strong lower torso and legs!!

Im wondering if there's something to the leg thing. I think you're right on target with that. I saw a video after the crawford and spence Fight where Stevenson was standing next to crawford, and Adrien broner was praising crawford. Stevenson took notice of broner's long legs and made a comment saying, "You got some long a** legs" which was ironic to me because I notice they both have the same boxing stance with their legs spread wide apart. Stevenson probably used to watch broner when he was younger and may have picked up the leg stance from him. Though Stevenson probably would never admit to it now that broner ain't what he once was or what people thought he was before losing.

No doubt he’s an elite skilled fighter. IMO he’s defensively slick and hard to hit, however he doesn’t have much power. He hits a lot of fighters clean and they just keep coming. If he gets in with Tank, it would be a boring fight and he would probably win because of his defensive skills, but he’s not going to hurt him.

I agree he is not a power hitter; which means Tank would purposely eat a few of his hits just to get close enough to clock him... I don't even think Shakur would get the W with Pitbull; because Pitbull gave Tank his best fight yet.

@@graylina1317you don’t know how boxing works.. shakur controls distance and range perfectly he moves whenever he throws punches he moves when he slips and blocks and he’s patient. Tanks not gonna be able to just hit to get hit because shakurs doesn’t sit in one spot

I think Shakur has amazing skill and is a great boxer. But a lot of y'all really tripping in saying he would be too much for Tank. The difference with Tank compared to other fighters is that Tank puts great pressure on you AND has very high ring IQ, unlike other pressure fighters who guys like Shakur and Haney beat up on who try to pressure them

The kids is talented I would love to see him fight a hard puncher. His power hand seem to hang below his chin a lot, if someone could replicate what Joshua did in his fight with Helinuis. At 6:56 dude almost land it but he did not set up correctly. Anyway the kid is special him and Davis is the fight we need to see in a few years.

Stevens seem to be a solid fighter, but his style won’t put butts in seats. Even the great Ray Leonard knew when to turn up the heat in engaging his opponent. Hopefully Stevens learns this, hope the best for this kid

The only person who could truly test Shakur is Tank and Devin. Shakur is like a mini Bud basically a Bud Jr aka lil Bud . That's a hard day at the office for anyone. Shakur and Bud that's like BatMan and Robin He under the tutelage of Bud a Boxing God and Legend and that's good for the Boxing World💯👍🏾 but huge problems for fighters in His division alot of fighters playing duck duck goose 🦆 with Shakur they really don't want to fight him. As highly as we thought of Vasily Mr high tec he didn't want to get ring with Young Bud He knows Bud's are Dangerous. As for Devin if he is a True Champion Undisputed all that. Should take the fight with Shakur "lil Bud" Stevenson 💯👍🏾

He has a lot of potential but he’s not ready for Haney…definitely isn’t ready for Tank. Great defense and good at slipping punches but his power is suspect and I don’t see that dawg in him like Tank or Crawford. Styles make fights…but this style doesn’t translate to an exciting fight imo…not unless he’s in the ring with someone constantly applying pressure.

Not taking anything away from Stevenson and Devon Haney. They both talented fighters, but tank is number one in my opinion he is fighting top fighters and putting them to sleep. But every one put Stevenson in Haney above him I don’t see it.

in the 13th minute 31 seconds Shakur hits his opponent in the face and knocks him down even and his opponent trows a punch right after he gets hit. The robbed my man Shakur for that knock down. Devin Haney ain't in no trouble. This dude (Nakathila) Haney is fighting can't even evade simple combinations. His main defense is to jump backwards! He's a punch for punch type of fighter. At the elite level of boxing thats no good.

That wasn’t a great fight by Shakur I’ve seen better boxing on his part. Shakur is a great boxer but he is starting to utilize more ring tricks. In this fight I think 3rd round while locked up he was using his head on the inside, I seen him punch the guy in front leg no call to keep the gloves up. The very obvious pulling down on the guys head with both hands. The over the top punch on break. Most of that took place just between rounds 3-8. I don’t really think he needs to do all that with his boxing skill set but he got the win I guess
