All the finalists looked technically superb to me ( a ballet lover but not a dancer myself). He stood out for me because he had real stage presence and truly looked like he was enjoying himself.
I remember so vividly watching this performance live at 4am and cheering so loud when he finished that I woke up my parents. Still gives me absolute chills!!
I’m not a ballerina, though I do take ballet and watch lots of ballet. But, I am a professional musician; this boy has to be one of the best I’ve ever seen. I mean that seriously. THAT is stage presence and *performance,* more than dancing. He’s certainly a winner.
Congrats to Shale Wagman -he's such a delight to watch. He seems so fully present in his own movement - which is rare to see in such a young dancer. A well deserved win in my opinion. Looks like an exceptional future to me!
I think he is just superb , been a fan since his exam at Princess Grace it is not just the virtuosity of his dancing but the way he carries himself when he is not dancing his placement is just so mature the sort of things that can almost not be taught ! I am so very glad he is going to English National Ballet , he will be in very good hands
Yes,Yes... First Prize winner, Shale Wagman, was by far head and shoulders above all the other dancers in exquisite expression of dance perfection. For audience and judges, it was an obvious and easy decision. We dream of seeing more of his outstanding performances for decades to come.
espectacular... no impecable pero espectacular; fuerza, determinacion y control del espectaculo que esta dando muestran el caracter del bailarin muy bien merecido premio. BRAVO!
